:earth PU Graboids is more or less the fastest thing we can create. Protected Dim Shields is good as well.
Do you have a particular build in mind for this?  I tried running PUs in that Grabby Rainbow before, but couldn't get it to work right.  This was one of my main goals from the beginning, which is why I'm interested :)

Quote
:light Yeah, Sancs will let us stall a lot better. Dim Shields, Miracles and Sancs are enough to deck almost anyone out.
Holy balls I think I just drooled over this idea.  Note that I suck at stalling which is why I didn't have too many of these types of decks in my brainstorming thread :/  If someone from the other team who knows me well enough to know this is one of weaknesses then they're more than likely going to try and take advantage of it (that's also including them assuming that I'm going to be the one making all of the decks...which isn't true yet people still get that idea from the phrase "Deck Builder" for some reason).  Decks like these will be a HUGE advantage.

Quote
:darkness LS+Obsidian Dragon+PU is very good stuff. Due to LS' versatility, it's better than Plague against Adrenalined stuff like Adrenastaffs.
Yep, I had this in mind for :life specifically.  The ability to burst or stall at will is pretty damn fantastic.

Also, could we please avoid using off-element Pends/Pillars in our decks if we possibly can?
Mmm okay... Just screw all of my weird trio ideas then :)

Quote
As for the :time Scarabtal, we'll need to choose which off-element quanta sources we take. We could go with Gravity Pends and Time mark (what I ran in Trials), or Time Pillars and Gravity mark (what Will suggested). Going with Time mark gets us that important :time quanta earlier, while :gravity quanta is secondary, as we can't always find a nomming target for Scarabs (we could also pack a single Chimera in there, as damage-reduction shields tank the deck).
Eh, I don't know.  My version gives a constant supply of :time which means it -should- be faster at producing :time than the :gravity Pend version.  Also, :life tried taking Chimeras last year and it seemed to fail us miserably.  As a result I'm a little biased against taking them again...like ever :|

However, your version would definitely have the advantage against critter spam since mine sucks at generating :gravity.  Idk, depends on what we expect to see.

What's the deadline for this? I'm away from my computer right now, but we can at least start planning by the number of aether pillars/pendulums on average needed for decks, right? Which decks need less or more? I would argue we want to pack more quanta cards than our average deck requires, so that we have enough to cover ourselves when we have to salvage and things start to get messy. On the flip side, we could salvage unique opponent-specific cards as we go and leave ourselves with enough pillars to last the whole war. Sorry for bringing up more questions than answers. Such is the drawback of mobile browsing.

Aether uses a particularly larger amount of pillars than other elements.

Because of this, we should take a fair amount of pillars and pendulums.

More important are our Aether cards though. Things like Fractal, PU, Dim Shield, and Phase Dragons are so important to keeping us alive (All our decks will use these cards) that we should take max if we can afford to.

Not entirely sure of the deadline (I'll ask the Warmasters about it), but let's try to get this done as soon as we can ;)

EDIT: This is how much time we have left: no more time :(
(I've added this countdown to the first post)

We'll probably end up building our 11-12 deck skeletons, then adding additional Aether Pillars/Pendulums and other Aether cards to our Vault, along with other utility cards (Nova, Discord, Graboid, Deflag, etc.) to top up to the 477 card total that we can work with.

For another deck idea (Unpolished) I propose GravLightning.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
55m 55m 55m 55m 55p 55p 55p 562 562 562 562 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61r 61r 61r 61r 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 8pl

Gravy shield has the potential to shut down some of the decks in the game on it's own, and Lightning can kill everything else. I put twin Acceleration in this deck for the win condition, but it could be anything.

EDIT: Also, let's start actually deciding not discussing how many and what cards we should puut in the vault.

A good idea to start is this: How many cards do we actually have?

Sorry I don't have much to contribute in the deck building area. I do think we should shoot for being done well before the deadline (maybe Noon Central on Tuesday?) so we have some wriggle room.

Also, as a side note, I will be away from the computer starting around 3:30pm Central on Tuesday until well after the deadline passes. So either someone else will need to update the vault as the deadline approaches or we'll need to be done a few hours early anyway.

We will have a Vault size of 477 cards
At least 238 of those cards have to be Aether cards (to meet the 50% requirement).

Alright, let's start making clear-cut decisions then.

24 Fractal
24 Dimensional Shields

Any objections?

Seconded.

We can always convert them into Aether Pillars/Pends later if we find that 24 Fractals are too many (they're not ;) ).

Here's a rough version of the Vault that Team Aether took into War II -- https://spreadsheets.google.com/ver?authkey=CKKwv54K&hl=en&key=tX6upIw4MNbKsqlfcmD3NTQ&t=1288572837411001&pt=1287844536983001&widget=false&s=AJVazbWg7xcR3wMtXAHAmJeVWdjiYwcpsg&gid=0

We're also going to need a lot of PUs this time around.  I'll say that the minimum is probably going to be around 18, but realistically I'd like to take 24 to give us more versatility in the future.

24 Lightnings wouldn't be a bad idea either because seriously, it's the best friggin CC in the game.

Not sure about Lobos.  It's highly useful, but if the opponent isn't using creature abilities it's a high priced 5 damage dealer.

Sparks...well I'd say 6 at least, either for a surprise blitz or one of the Immo decks proposed.

Phase Dragons we'll need a lot of.  18-24 minimum there.

The two off element cards that I can already foresee being in high demand are going to be Nova and Phoenix.  Taking at least 12 of both probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

Not really sure about much else for now.
