Well first of all, let's nab 18 of DS, Phase Dragon, and Immortal.  Because of the new conversion rule, we need a lot of starting pillars as well.

um what new conversion rule? the one i heard a while ago was that we can change stuff into pillars, so we wouldnt need a lot? or am i mistakenn
and i dont think we should just grab cards, we should just use this as a deckbuilding thread, and make sure the totals all work out

Basically, we can only convert like 12 cards a round or something.  Regardless, we need pillars in our vault.   :P

Or this.  Although, we also need to not be predictable in our decks, unless we know we have a nice chance to win against that element with Mono Aether + PA, like Entropy.  So 6 Poison, 6 Frog, 3 Nightmare, 6 Nova, and 3 Arsenic, just as ideas.

Speaking of which, 6 PA is needed.

Talking in chat with Malduk and xdude, they think that Pendulums and Pillars are not interchangeable.  I will look into this now.

2.3. THE VAULT
The Vault is very important because cards in the Vault are not only used to build decks, but they also act as "hit points" for the whole team. If a Vault is less than 30 cards at the start of a round, that team gets eliminated from the event. Vault is built by the whole team, led by the General.

Cards that were not used during player auction, will form the team starting Vault. Up to this point, cards have just been a number, now it is time to fill the Vault with specific cards.

Vault building rules:
- at least 50% of cards have to be from your element
- maximum of 24 per card from your element (restriction doesn't apply to Pillars or Pendulums)
- maximum of 12 per card from other elements (restriction doesn't apply to Pillars or Pendulums)
- no Shards

Cards in the Vault are always unupgraded. If you move an upgraded card back to the Vault, it becomes unupgraded.

Important! Vault doesn't really exist. Players are not given cards they take from the Vault, nor are any cards removed from their account if they lose. Players must own the cards on their Elements game account in order to use them. If a player doesn't have a specific card in his/her account, He/she cannot use it even if that card is listed in the Vault. So try to pick cards that your team members actually have or can buy if needed.

I think we start off with 420 cards - 60 from ICB buying us = 360 cards for the vault.  Divided that by 9 players = an average of 40 cards each to start off with.

If our decks are going to average 10-15 Pillars/Pendulums then I think we should take something like:
50-55 :aether Pillars
60-65 :aether Pendulums

That will leave us with 240-250 cards in our vault to fill out our decks (about 26-28 each).  At the start, we will only have enough cards to build 12 decks and there are 9 of us.  I don't see a reason to take extra throw-away cards, so let's make each card count!
