Looking ahead to Round 10, I think the only way we can beat SS stall is with a fire stall. Hopefully pika wins his match because we could use more fire cards after our RNGfail to death. With Rof and rage pots (hopefully Higs wins her 3rd match), it should be able to beat their reclustall also.

We also lost LOTS of lightnings this round . Thanks to torb's salvage, we can now field up to 2 monoaethers, which will help a lot with minimizing our lightning usage if we have a decent matchup for that (time, UW?, earth?).

It all depends on the SS stall build. A rush with Deflags rushes the one we faced this time, and they didn't have any BB's last time either. Grabbow with Deflags and Dims might be the way to go, considering their Dims in other decks. Another option is to stick EQ's into it, since their decks are heavy on quanta. A Devtal with 3-4 Steals and Gargoyles should also deliver, but Plague is a slight problem. However, since it's the last team Devtal can be effective against, it might be best. If it's an Lt. or Gen. match, Fractix is a good choice too.

EQ is also worth considering against UW and Time. Initial thoughts to Earth bring Wings to mind; they've lost Deflags and don't seem to have much EQ or Light cards left. Wings is a weaker option against Death as well.

Regarding SS: Since the opposing deck has so many shields, I would like to make use of those momentums, but without quint or QPs I can't seem to find a way. I posted an EQ grabby in this round's topic (or it can be found in the pasties) that was pretty effective against EQ/SS. It would require thorough testing and tweaking because the AI is mentally challenged, but I feel it is a good avenue to explore. The problem with firestall is that since it relies on a OHKO with bolts late game, the SS will be huge, and EQ will severely hinder fire generation.

Um, if/when we find my replacement, do I still get a cool icon for winning war? =P
