Yeah frogtal doesn't have much of a use this round.
How's this for my deck?
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

Gravity duo (4-0): -2 sundial -2 dragon -2 pend, since I can't get past gravity shield and they can destroy the sundials
Immortal (5-0): No change, RT my own spiders for deckout
RT Earth: Haven't tested yet, probably -5 fractal -1 spider, their EQs won't let me build up quanta to have a hope of playing my spiders after a fractal.
Novagrabby: Not sure.

One thought I had during testing is that either Gen. Kaker or Lt. Terro will take the gravity deck just for the lessened cost of pulvy's effect, but while testing the earth side of that deck, it's not too big of a deal.

EP, keep in mind that they can add 6 cards to the immortal if you deck it out...

Excuse me while I punch my wall. I could plop an Eternity from Sevs into the +6, which means quanta rebalance, and overall efficiency loss.

Gah, just realized that my Novagrabby base build is illegal -_-"

Going to fix it up so that it has 1 less off-element card and 1 more Aether card now.

New legal version (base build):

:underworld is facing the following teams: :aether :air :light :time

:air likely has only their Flying Titan deck left, so it's probably going to meet Grabbix (since it has BB, Deflag, and Warden to stop the Flying Titans in their tracks and to get past Wings)

:light only has Discosaders, so it's going to meet the FFQ stall (since it has Rewinds and Bone Wall plus the Firefly/Panda sacrifice to fuel it, and it can easily be fattened to 40 cards to stall for deckout)

:time only has Scarabtal, so the Quinted Growthbow is UW's best option (Titanium Shield, Quint avoids nomming by Scarabs, Nightmare to slow down Fractal)

We might end up facing something like the :death / :air duo, or one of the winning decks from the last round. Since the other three teams have a large number of Airborne creatures, we're probably going to see the :death / :air duo.

I will definitely be tweaking this deck, but I think it has a lot of potential. I don't want to supply Earth with any more RTs, but it's good against 3/5 of their decks, and I think those other two (both are RT eartch decks) will be headed to fire/water.

During testing, the Phase Dragons never come out, and I find myself strapped for aether quanta. I think -2 Dragons for sure, but not sure what to put in their place (1pill/1pend comes to mind). The problem with the RT Earth is that I can't stall it while RTing my Spiders because they will do the same, and I can't chain Dims/Dials long enough. I don't have enough damage output. I may switch out some pills or pends and try to put 2 GotP's instead of Dragons.

EDIT: In order to play this deck I need the Eternity from the UW salvage. Not sure how everyone feels about that, since there's a momentum, 3 devs, and 3 novas in that deck as well as overall splash.

VERY skeptical about the AI on this one, though. It's still better than getting my ass handed to me. More to come, be back in a few hours. PLEASE comment.

As usual, silly AI is silly and the results aren't accurate at all.

This deck went 3-0 against the RT Spider deck above (I played RT Graboids, AI controlled RT Spiders):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 58o 590 590 590 590 590 590 593 593 593 593 594 594 594 5aa 5aa 5aa 5rk 5rk 5rk 5rk 5rk 5rk 8ps

It's a pretty generic build of RT Graboids. EQ the Pillars/Pends, keep Graboids burrowed until the OTK, Rewind the opposition's creatures, and save Stone Skins until you need to use them.

Presumably, the same thing would happen if they used Scrambled Shriekers, except that they get even more early disruption with Discords.

@pika, I think UW tossed or converted their death/air duo. While I know you can't take anything in chat at face value, LD and 4t both said they got rid of it (or at least part of it). I will take a look at there salvages and see if anything meshes with death or air.

If they still have the Death Pends left (and possibly also some of the Death cards), then they could still scrape together something decent from the salvages, like Flying Arsenics with Fog Shields.

I'm lost then. I seem to be building decks that work but are suited for someone else to use. I have no solution to earth with the current vault, and I would like to avoid flipping coins as to what they're going to bring. PU Azures might be a decent workaround for now, though if that pulvy shows up I'm toast.

Hm. We know that :earth has 2 copies of the RT Graboid deck, 3 surviving decks (Gravity duo, Miraclesanc Stall, Scrambled Shriekers), and 1 more deck that they'll have to pull out of salvages/Vault leftovers.

Their 6 match-ups this round are: :aether :fire :water :darkness :entropy :life

As Phys pointed out, one of the RT Graboid decks will be going to :fire, as it counters Immorushes, and should be able to shut down stalls with Shapeshifted EQs.

Mummytal could be an option here, if it weren't for the abundance of Earthquakes. It's essentially immune to their forms of CC (it takes 2 Rewinds to completely get rid of one, BB only slows one out of many, it still hits through Titanium Shield for 3 damage each, and it gets past Gravity Shield).

For :death, Fractix might be an option. Death doesn't have threatening CC (other than maybe Plague, but Fractix should be able to recover from it), Fractal takes care of Bone Wall, and Deflags smack away Skull Shields. The only thing to worry about is Death's Earthquakes, although they might have discarded them now in favour of saving more Death cards.
