:entropy: They won't be packing BH in their non-Lt./Gen. versions of Scrambled Shriekers, since it costs 4 :gravity unupped -- the upped version was used because it's cheaper and easier to cast from Novas. (Also because they probably had a few extras from Discord/BH)

Here's what I have developed for them:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52q 52q 52q 52r 52r 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 5rp 61o 61o 61o 61o 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61t 61t 61t 63a 63a 63a 8pk
An Arsendial variant. Lots of permanents for distraction; build up poison with Arsenics, and chain Sundials, Bone Walls and Dim Shields as needed (remember that Dim Shields block weapons, but Sundials don't. Also, Dim Shield for creature swarms, and Bone Wall for when there are fewer creatures on the table). Be careful about drawing with the Sundials, though -- you don't want to deck out.

Does great against Fried Cat because of the sheer number of permanents (Dim Shield is awesome for blocking their swarms), and same for Scrambled Shriekers (fewer and slower creatures means that your Bone Wall + Lightning combo will be more effective).

31 cards to avoid losing by deckout, since damage potential is very low (especially when the Arsenics get Deflagged) and shields are a problem to get around if they hit the field earlier than Arsenic.

This might actually also win against their stalls, since Arsenic is awesome at getting damage to stick, and you also have Lightnings to close the gap when you're ready to take the win.

NOTE: We only have 19 Novas in the Vault.

5 (Arsendial for :entropy) + 3 (Flying Titan for :death) + 5 (Novagrabby #1) + 6 (Novagrabby #2) = 19 in total
Cool. I am a fan of stall/control focused decks.
Not sure what is left with the vault, but the deck I used last round consistently beat fried cats and the non-BH SS
I should be able to do a fair amount of testing with those decks tomorrow then. Thx guys!

Blah, got tied up again today. I promise to get some testing done tomorrow, but with the lack of time I've personally spent, maybe I should just take mummytal and hope for the best. The discards from that aren't particularly crippling.
EDIT: Playing around with this for now:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vh 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 4vj 52q 55u 590 590 590 590 590 5c1 61o 61o 61o 61o 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 61q 624 624 63a 63a 63a 8pm

I'm super tired, but I'm assuming there's too many grabs and the quanta isn't balanced properly. But is this the general idea, Higs?

:fire: Sample preliminary build for Mummytal:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
52q 52q 52t 52t 52t 52t 52t 52t 61o 61o 61o 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 622 622 622 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 8pk

More permanents for Deflag distraction while you build up :death quanta to Fractal Mummies against the RT Phoenix. Make sure that you hold off on summoning them until you have enough to Fractal, since 2 Rewinds = dead card in our hands.

:earth: I think they might be shaping up into a stall this time. Their match-ups are :aether :death :gravity :time :water :underworld -- 3 strong teams, 2 weak teams, and 1 unknown.

They'll probably try to run the Sanc stall against :aether and :death (Water has that Tridentbow that wrecks stalls), something rushy for :water and :underworld, and two sub-par decks against :gravity and :time.

Hm.. with me playing Water's decks, my PU Phoenix loses to their Discord Toadfish and a pure Water rush with Freezes (also their Skull Shield poison deck, but that's 'cause AI Deflags Arsenics; I won't). I'm a bit worried. If I'm point, this'll be the most important duel in the entire War for us. The two decks I lose against keel over to Dims, so I'm tempted to tech in two of those in place of two Lightnings. I also find my deck low on quanta with 11 pends. For those who tested PU Phoenix against other decks, are 4 Deflags necessary? From what I can tell, they're unlikely to even have a Sanc stall left.

When I played :fire in Round 2, I generally found a Deflag (3 in 30 cards) by the time their Fire Shield came out -- the same should apply to Water's Ice Shield. Skull Shield could be a different story, though. I was running this deck:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f6 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 61q 61q 61q 61r 61r 61r 61r 61r 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 81q 81q 81q 8po

You could go for something like this instead (still a preliminary estimate that needs balancing, but you have 3 more upped Pends for slightly faster early :aether quanta):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f6 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 61q 61q 61q 61r 61r 61r 61t 61t 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 81q 8po

If you could squeeze a 4th PU in there (possibly -1 Lightning? Not sure here), that would be awesome :)

Yeah, that's the version I tried. Also tried one with 6 Lightnings and one with 3 Dims. All of them lose to a good draw. It seems like Discord Toadie is their best pick against us overall since PU and Fractal are expensive, so I'm not sure I should stick to PU Phoenix. The idea of PU Phoenix is to break stalls, and if they can't field a proper one, I'm better off with something that uses Novas.

Tried 5 Phoenix, 4 PU, 5 Dims. Reliably beats it, but would lose to Deflag Steamies. In fact, maximum speed PU Phoenix loses a lot against it as well. Those Freezes do all the work.

Well, this is funny. I've beaten all their decks 5 times with this now:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5f6 5f6 5f6 61q 61q 61q 61q 622 622 622 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 81q 81q 8po

Yes, even the "Fractix counter". Doesn't work so hot without Diamond Shield. >:D
Its offense is quite limited as well.

I'm starting to 2nd-guess my deck. It isn't as strong against the gargoyle grabbow as I originally thought, and it is iffy against their stall...

Testing decks now, hopefully I can find something that works...

EDIT: I am really starting to hate Gargoyle Grabbow, but this is what I am testing out right now. Going to guess a 60-70% win rate atm against GG, and about 50% win against stall. more testing yet to come. Pretty much anything that counters their stall consistently fails against GG.

Double post, but...

I think this is a good time to talk about a target pillar/pendulum reserve count to have in the vault for next round.

We'll likely be losing a fair amount of them now that there are full deck discards, so it's a good idea to discuss how many we should keep left over in the vault.

Last round we ended with 16, but it may be better to aim for more.

If we establish this it'll give us a clearer idea of how to perform our SDC.
Bumping this, it's kinda important.

Yeah, mine's not final, but I am -really- sick of testing after many hours x)

And yes, it's very important. Dun wanna have to field suicide decks. Discards are at 30 now, so we'll be losing a lot of quanta for each lost duel. We should probably convert 24 this round to be safe, and I suspect we'll be keeping that up every round, depending on how much we lose and how many Novas we use (instead of pends/pillars). If I don't lose though, this event card might help a lot.

Cards that haven't been helpful and are up for immediate conversion: 12x Silence, 3x Immortal.
Cards we haven't used and aren't powerful in any specified deck of ours: 3x Armagio, x2 Gravity Shield, x2 Momentum

I'd rather keep the BB and salvage 3 more.

That way we can field a BB Grabbow rather than an EQ grabbow.

Just a thought.

For the reserve count I'm leaning towards about 20-25 for this round. Because of the event it's not quite full discards yet, so we don't quite need more than that.
