Kind of surprised that everyone is playing the RNG card on our last duel with
. I mean, it's not very surprising that a 45 card deck lost because it couldn't draw what it needed especially considering that about a third of their cards were dead after we changed our strategy; anyone who has used 60 card Timebows for FG grinding should know exactly what I'm talking about. But as I've already gotten enough uncalled for flaming on that thread for supporting a teammate, I don't think I'll express any of that to the rest of the world
However, I did learn a few things from watching deuce play his matches.
1) Arsenic murders Sanc decks. That first match I knew was over shortly after that Arsenic appeared; it's like Scorpio outpoisoning the healing you get from SoGs, eventually it's just going to become too much for any healing to make a difference.
2) The odds of certain key cards appearing is very unlikely due to their deck size. This never seems to be a problem when you're testing against certain deck types and always winning either because you're playing against the AI (and the AI is stupid as hell) or because you don't test the deck enough beforehand. For example, during my testing with that Sanc stall versus earth's Grabbow, I didn't pay attention to what key cards I needed because I always seemed to just completely stall them into oblivion with little resistance; deuce showed just how much player skill can make a difference as opposed to facing an AI. In the end, DSSCRA failed to draw enough Miracles and Sanctuaries to overcome even the tiny amount of damage that the Graboids were dealing; if the Creature Control is low, then it's extremely easy to just rush them. With Sanctuary in particular, early PC is pretty nasty when facing a rush.
So these are the obvious weaknesses of the gargantuan Sanc Stalls everyone has decided to start revealing this round. I'm going to try and devise a few bizarre combinations (that work, I might add) to see if there isn't a direct counter which also fares more than well against other decks.
