in my opinion, i think we need to try to be online more... idk if it was just this week or not but a lot of confusion happened that could have been prevented...
also, we need to get things done as soon as possible so we aren't staying up late at night trying to fix stuff... ~remembers last night with boingo~
It was not easy giving everyone a deck this round. I tried to make clear that I would not be able to design 9 decks this round. As our team's "deckbuilder" I have the responsibility of posting our official decks, but unfortunately I cannot test each of them nor do I have the time to figure out every match in detail. I had been in chat the last 3 nights to do deck testing and run some ideas past teammates but only ran into gocubbies1212, Dragoon1140 and Toimu13. That represents less than half our team.
I did not want to send anyone out with a "suicide" deck this round but I worried about losing more matches than we needed to by having no suicide decks but lots of "so-so" decks, instead of 1 suicide deck and a few more "pretty good" decks. As none of the decks were fully optimized and it is very difficult to have everyone get all the cards they want with a limited vault, I had to make an executive decision late last night. I do not like making executive decisions since it means someone else has to play with a deck they don't know very well. I think gocubbies deck suffered for it and I'm sorry he lost. Initially we were 16 pillars short with a day left, then with some rearrangement it became being down 2 pendula and 2 fractals short with no time left.
For round 3, we'll have to have our Vault situation cleared up quickly (right away). Then we need to figure how many decks we can put together. Finally, each member will need to post a deck in the Round 3 deck thread and be ready to adjust it based on testing and on other teammate's needs. There is no substitute for deck testing, and that requires 2 people to do it.
