This is my crazy idea for death. I originally had no sundials, but I figured that if we were playing a poison based deck, the sundials might help us draw purify sooner. I have 2x spidertal both as a win condition and to help prevent spiders getting zapped if they have dragons that can fly past our wings. They've never used more than 41 cards in their stall, so that is why I have the deck at 42.

Also, if it loses, we can still salvage 12 useful cards (dims and wings most likely)

EDIT: They have used up to 45 cards in the stall, but that was back in the early rounds when they had more bonewalls, plagues, and PAs.

As anticipated, this week is kicking my ass. I've tested our NovaGrabby and Mummytal against Fire's NovaGrabby, and I win most duels. It's very RNG-dependant though, of course. This is what I tested, but I haven't decided what to take yet. I'll have some time tomorrow too for the last couple hours of the round.

It's quite possible BoneBolt is even better against UW. Entropy had Diss Shield and we don't have Poisons, otherwise it'd be perfect against them.

Edit: scrapping it. Can't beat a human.

It is win. So very very win.

The worst threats in UW's decks -- Momentum, Deflag, Steal, Fog -- merely turn the match-up into an RNG battle. I compensated for stupid Deflags by playing multiple shields whenever they Deflag a Pillar, and still won most of the matches.

(Alternate idea suggested by Eva is to take a Light mark, balance out quanta a little bit, then add 6 Sancs)

Resistant against Discords and Earthquakes. Lightnings zap creatures to slow them down. Upped Dragons are going to be annoying, but that's life.

EDIT: @deuce -- 2 Deflags are probably better.
I'll use this with -1 spider +1 fractal
Did pretty well vs grabbow and stall, sometimes luck dependent but it's ok.

Azure Dragon Fractal as a win condition in case of bigger stalls. The three-way split really helps, and regardless of which type of quanta they try to deny with EQ, you still have defenses at the ready. Purifies for those Poison spells, as Wings and Dims > Arsenic.

As always, if you see an Earth mark, play only 1 of each type of quanta source at a time, and count those EQs. If their stall is bigger, try to break through with Dragons as soon as you can.

If you see an Aether mark, don't play Dragons too early, as there is a chance that they have TU (Webbing your own Dragon doesn't pass on the Web to the TU'd ones). Also, have back-up Spiders at the ready (via Fractal or natural drawing) to Web Airborne creatures, as they will have Lightnings to zap our Spiders. If you have a larger deck, use Sundials to help draw key cards (Wings, Dim Shield, Fractal, Purify, etc.) earlier.

Looks like my only good chance at beating Fire's NovaGrabby and PoisonBolt is with our NovaGrabby. That's even more effective against Entropy though, but if dots takes a Fog Shield (very, very helpful against monoentropy) instead of Lycan and replaces his 6th Nova with something else, I can field a decent one too. Or I would've if all Spiders weren't also taken (Recluses add a lot of punch).

I also considered aiming only for Fire's NovaGrabby and make an Air stall, but it'd autofail against PoisonBolt.

One option is to change to PUnix or Devtal against Death to give me two Spiders. They should both fair decently against both their Aether duo and Death stall.

Mkay, this is doing well in testing (5-0), but it's all RNG. x)

In order to build it, I just need to do -1 Nova, Lycan and Spider from dots, and +1 Arsenic, Fog Shield and Aether pendulum (3 is a bit low for 5 Grabbys).

Edit: Done. Updated main topic, decks topic and vault tracker.
Let the RNG-round to end all RNG-rounds begin. :D

Hopefully pika can pull off a win later today, but overall things are not looking very good because we are starting to run very low on aether cards. We may want to consider suiciding 1 or 2 matches next round depending on the outcome of pika's match.  :(

Update: After this round, my motivation is in the toilet (but I'm going to be pretty inactive over the next week anyway). I think we will still have 4 matchups next round. It might not be a bad idea to only field 2 decks (maybe 3 if we feel real confident) with the rest being pure suicides (15 pills and 15 pends if possible). The fewer matches we play means the other teams will be able to take each other out. With that said, losing to UW on purpose next round will increase their # of duels to 2. If we go 2-2 with 2 suicides, this leaves us with 118 cards in our vault, 3 matches to play, and likely 4 total matches in war (unless we knock death out next round). Go 2-1 with 1 suicide in Round 13 leaves us with 2 duels with ups and enough key aether cards to field useful decks to finish everyone off.
