One card: shard of readiness. It solves the cost problem and the quintessence problem too.
How does it solve the cost problem?

I believe it only solves the cost problem in a Nymph Tear/Queen Nymph deck.  :)

The cost now is 0 and you can instantly use its skill.  So it can protect itself and then eventually your other creatures too

Nearly pointless for mono decks since the only non-immortal Aether guys are phase spider/rescluse and spark/ball lightning. And even though it helps phase spider stay alive, I believe they can still be hit by thunderstorm, rain of fire, pre-inflicted poison, plague, fire shield, etc....

ACtually, they can only be hit by pre-inflicted poison and fire shield.  RoF and other mass creature control doesnt effect immaterial creatures

Yup. Vulnerable death-wise only to fire shield and spine carapace, but you have to keep the nymph alive with 2 hp for a turn first before it quints itself, and if you need to quint your creatures, having to keep one with 2 hp alive for a turn poses quite a difficulty, especially with such a sheer volume of creature control that can kill it. Very few spells that affect creatures CAN'T kill a turquoise nymph.

and by very few he means thunderstorm, as that is the only thing I can think of. Even unupped otys can eat it./

it has serious overshadowing issues with anubis and its high cost in aether and its low health make it vulnerable so a collectors piece yet a good card no

Quite useless as Anubis is a lot cheaper. Though it may be useful in a monodeck (if you can win nymphs and not only create them by using the tears)

Anubis takes aether quanta to work. I prefer Turquoise nymph.
