As noted PU doesn't actually copy the target (as it's description may imply), but instead acts as though you played the target from your hand.  Hence you get a random mutant when you 'copy' a mutant.  This interaction is even more clear when you 'copy' a Chimera and it merely combines all your creatures into a new chimera.
If you copy your chimera, if you have any other creatures, they are absorbed into a new one.  If you copy the opponents chimera, all it does is combine your own creatures into a chimera.

And yet if I play PU on a poisoned creature, the creature generated is also poisoned. Despite what you say, you are blatantly wrong.

i think what you mean is... you know what, i dont know what you mean. pu isnt the same as just summoning that creature. you dont get 2 counters of yellow toxin when you use pu, you just get one. the reason chimera does what it does when its pu'd is because it would be REDICULOUSLY op if it doesnt, like rustler with shard of rediness
my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard and they're like "its better than yours" damn right, its better than yours! i can teach you but i'd have to charge!

Duly noted.  I did some more testing and there is much truth to what you say.  It definitely copies status effects present on creatures, and does not act as though they are played from your hand.  The previous explanation I found here http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4461.0.html (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4461.0.html) "Parallel Universe: Copying a normal creature will copy it with all its skill and its current stats."  Seemed inedequate to explain several cases I encountered, so I tried to make a more general one... but alas, as you point out, this card does follow this rule for "normal" creatures.  For non-normal ones, it  has a different reaction (somewhat similar to what I described, but I still wouldn't expect 2 yellow poison charges in these cases, as the PU would be considered playing the copy (like a clone that becomes the target as it enters play), not a spell in itself and then also playing a copy).

PUing chimera would be pretty broken...

what happens if you PU a poisoned mutant?

The creature which you gained, will get +1~4 Attack and HP, and possibly a new ability. Will stay poisoned.

Chimera absorbs creature as soon as it comes into field, so it will replace the old one.

I love this card but lately I can't find it in the Bazaar and all six copies I had has been deleted from my stock, can someone clear up to me on what has happened to the card? Has it been permanently deleted from Elements? Is it being updated and needed to be removed from the game for the time being in order to do so? Or something else? in the mean time I will look further and see if any messages regarding this issue have been sent out from the staff and I will try logging back into my game and see if that will undo the problem.

It's still in the Bazaar for me, and I still have all 12 copies (6 each of unupped and upped) in my inventory.

Try clearing your cache, updating your Flash player, and updating to the latest version of your browser. Just clearing your cache should be enough to get things back to normal.

Well Parallel Universe appeared in the Bazaar today but not back in my inventory and apparently the same thing happened with my 6 Skull Shields and now I had to by 6 more of each rather it is a bug or something else I hope this does not continue because I don't want to buy more replacements in order to get them, especially if the game decides to delete all copies of a particular card along with all the upgrades I have of that card and also my Auburn and Purple Nymph cause those a pain to get. But this is getting into another topic but in any case I do have my Parallel Universes so yay for that.

You can also use a mono aether deck and copy all your opponent's creatures while you hide behind a safe dimensional shield :>
