Just because of everything you have all said about this post (way back when, I know) I really want to say something about this card...
Point 1 - I feel mono-Aether is particularly vulnerable to Earthquake, as in any good Shrieker Deck.
Point 2 - ... Actually this took a little longer than I wanted to... just a little, lol.
Using PendulumsIn a duo deck, use of pendulums can produce consistent quanta gains if your deck is built properly, right?
Here is a hopeless deck idea.

Let's forget that it's a terrible deck. There's a good chance you'll get 3 pends in your starter hand. There is also a chance you will get 2, maybe 1, or maybe 7. Let's say a key part of your strategy is the Hourglasses. You want to be able to play them as soon as possible, of course, but it's also important that you don't get a 'bad hand' (only Aether Pillars and no Time). This is when we can use Pendulums =) (And btw, I'm aware that all of you guys who posted before know how to use Pendulums, lol.)

For this deck, the-more-the-merrier applies because your only chance of winning is getting every card in the deck out and pathetically outrushing your opponent. But ignoring that...
2, 3 or 4 pendulums in your starting hand will all offer the same thing - Hourglass by turn 3. You will
never get it out by turn 2, but unlike if you used Pillars you will
almost always have it by turn 3. Even with only 1 Pendulum you are guaranteed the Hourglass by turn 4, or still turn 3 if you draw another Pend before the end of turn 2.
There you go I said my piece. Maybe this belongs somewhere else in the "Ramblings of a nobody" section but anyway, Aether Pendulums are cool they deserve posts
So there you go, to summarise:
1 - Mono-Aether needs a lot of Quanta, and Pends offer protection from Earthquake
2 - Aether Pendulums are ... Pendulums, lol. Which makes them useful...
3 - Aether Pendulums are, according to Me, the Great, 'cool'.
(Note also: Bots tend to steal your Pendulums if there's nothing else to pilf. Pends are sliiiiightly more dangerous in the enemy's hands because they're guaranteed to give at least half a useful quanta (but it's still lols).
Peace and Love, etc.! ^^
