This works out pretty well in arena too. However, for arena do we want imms or spiders? (i am an extreme noob with almost no upgrades who just so happens to know that spiders upped are my friend)
Probably immortals because of the amount of CC in arena. It probably won't get far anyway though because there is sooooo much PC in arena too :(

FYI i played like 10 games and I've lost all 10 of em from lvl4 AI and it was ez mode, if they land any shield i cant destroy em. So far I've lost from darkness, life, life/light deck, death deck, death/life and now from lvl 3 ai that's playin mind gate on aether. Imo it's mega crappy or I'm doing something mega wrong....

If your having trouble with shields it says you can remove 1 phase dragon and 1 immortal, switch mark for :darkness, change all pends to pillars, and add 2 steals.

Either AI4 has been improved or i'm the most unlucky player ever

100 games 50 standard deck and 50 with the steals won 4 lost (2 each) lost 96
lost rank and score

I do know how to play, not that its possible to do much wrong, just keep shields up.

What is happening...AI4 gets out a load of creatures, and as soon as my shield fails (ie: i don't have a replacement in hand) they do massive damage , i usually get the AI down to around 100HP before i die

I'm getting slightly better losses with the steals in (I last longer and do more damage)

yes, ai4 has gotten better, like 10%.  this deck was for 1.27-28.  I use it with upped shields and it works like a charm.  Try to farm ai3, once yo uget electrum, upgrade a shield.  IT HELPS ALOT!!!!!  if u having trouble, change mark to earth, add 6 protect artifact, 5 immortal, 6 shields, 4 dragons, 9 pillars.  or -2 immortal for +2 pillars.

Towers/Pendulums are better upgrades than shields.

And I don't think AI4 has gotten better. At all.

When do you start playing your shields?

Never chain shields unless you're going to lose the next turn (or with a little leeway if you're playing against an opponent with a way to get around your shield like permanent control, momentum, direct damage, etc.). Chaining too early increases the chances that your shield chain breaks, since you would have had fewer opportunities to draw cards.

the 1st few games i put my shields out too early, as advised at the top of this post, i very soon learnt that you need to wait and for the right moment then chain your shields to the end of the game, this is not a problem, the ony time i have a shield problem is on a bad draw, which does not happen very often.

The 3 main reasons i lose are:

1 Poison, i just die from poison before i kill him

2 healing, the AI heals itself untill i run out of cards ( i steal his 2 best heals. usually feral bond)

3 Shields, after i steal 2 shields i then run out of cards as his 3rd shield stops any damage

I took a screen shot of my last game, if someone tells me how to upload it you can see a typical game, and maybe see if i went wrong anywhere

Just wait as long as possible until you start chaining your shield. Your only problems should be  :gravity:fire:darkness, and :entropy. That's only about 33% of half-bloods.

I have found that taking out an immortal and a dragon and replacing them with parallel universes makes the deck more flexible. Would you recommend that I do not do that and change back or does this change have a negligible impact on the win rate?
