Quintessence and Phase Recluses? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=1705.msg15042#msg15042

Has anyone tried a deck like this?

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80g 80g 80g 80g 80g 80g 80h 80h 80h 80h 80h 80h 8pu

Seems like one could capitalize on the low cost of phase recluses to build a sturdy aether deck.  I don't know though, I was just tinkering with the alchemy cards.

(I also tried Adrenaline, but infection kills that deck fast)

I'd say take out five pillars, add three dimensional shields and two electrocuters. I imagine that would work fine. 18 towers is just too much quantum for cards that require so little.

I also agree that 18 pillars is a bit much.
I would suggest losing 6 pillars, and adding:
2 Phase Shields
2 Electrocutors
2 Thunderbolts

I like the thunderbolts, as they can remove an early Elite Otyugh threat, or provide 'final blow' non-creature damage to your opponent if he slows your creatures down with shields (and you're near the kill).

I agree completely with zhen_rogue, that will give you defense, non-creature damage, and spell damage.

One of the t50 decks I've played regularly had Phase Spiders and Quintessence, and seems to supplement it with life for Adrenaline for some unknown reason.  My major question is: why not just use Immortals?  They're cheaper and fewer cards for basically the same effect.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Immortals are boring.

You can't use adrenaline on immortals.

I've actually been messing around with a Life/Aether aggro deck, and it works pretty well, but it's mostly a one trick pony, and doesn't do well with controlling decks.

Here's the deck in action. I didn't ever take a picture of the actual deck. I will later, lol.

Lol, Jellyfish. That reminds me of a Gemini fight I had, except those spiders attacked for -7. :P
