Team Vote | Round 3 | by Silver Emerald |
|
Boss | Abyss Brawlers, because sentiment and sounding somewhat balanced. | League of Shadows for making a card which both seems vaguely balanced and is comprehensible at a glance. | Artist/FE | Abyss Brawlers, because slant. We also have consistent and clean motion. | The Chaosomes for having a working mock-up. | DB | Abyss Brawlers, because standpoint. We also have a better stock market with higher net worth. | ...going to have to come back to this one, actually. Somewhat harder decision. | CD/Writer | Abyss Brawlers, because I'm totally not biased towards kitsune. Definitely not biased at all. | The Chaosomes. While I'm a little bit iffy about the card's balance, the story feels the least contrived and handily ties in with the card. | Challenge | Abyss Brawlers, because spin. It was also more consistent to read. | Why would I vote twice? Okay, Abyss Brawlers! |

Going to also briefly critique my fellow writers, mostly because I considered it in past rounds but didn't act then. I might publish this opinion column publicly.
- LoS: The writing is fine, just...I'm not getting the not human part. The adjective 'Zeteitic' doesn't mean much to me one way or the other. Background would have helped and I'm not totally sure of the card relevance.
- GP: Almost don't mind the brevity since I get a sense of who the character is by that particular style. Just had better competition.
- TCs: Got my vote mostly because I wanted to know more and it was relatable while still definitely non-human. There were enough loose ends that it was a kind of story that drew me.
- ATNT: Conversely, left very little to the imagination. If we were going for an explorative record of the Elemental realm I would praise this highly; in the current challenge the exacting nature of the writer just didn't feel personal enough to me.
- FMH: Then there's leaving nothing to the imagination. It was not a high point of my reading career. I will simply give the sole due credit of writing something with impact. Now, someone pass the mind bleach...
- AB:
It was the most amazing thing I read 10/10 I had fun writing this, and tried to make it as genuine as I could. The relatable cluttered thoughts, the writer's motivations and moods, and the personal nature of the entry, while still working to preserve the challenge.
