Some poeple have been keeping 1-ups laying around...

You need to use it. 1-up's must be spent at the end of a round, unless you can't use it.

If my opponent has unused 1-ups it's effectively as if he has all his lives remaining, at least from a planning standpoint.  This is really a pretty huge difference in the rules.  Did this change when RR took over things?  If it did can I take back the two 1-ups that I spent?

i see that the rule hasn't been enforced and it should be... (i include myself, i didnt know that the rule existed)

The one-ups for forfeit were removed after round 3, when challonge was dropped.
