Meh, since there's really not much hype about the changes, quite the opposite, I won't implement them in the current event.

Which is okay, I guess, you can't really play the same deck 5 times for it to be such a big issue.

You have to WIN with a Mark in order to exchange it for one you lost.

I know this. The suggestion I have is much more punishing though.
The game becomes very different. Suppose that losing deflag and steal at the same time opens you up for counterbuilding.

Current style 12 lives promotes building good decks and winning with them. If you lose deflag and steal round 1 you can exchange worse elements that you won with for one of those elements. You lose 2 lives but you can get away wit it.
You often just wanna play a good deck.

With my suggestion its more about sacrificing elements that you don't mind losing. If you chose to play a dark mark deck and a fire mark deck in round 1 and lose both, you risk being counterbuild in the future. You are forced to pick very carefully. My suggestion leads to people choosing elements they can afford to lose early and counterbuilding being done in the tournament later. In round 1 you may think "I can afford to lose element X so lets play that first".

Just sharing an idea.

But then people just don't use those Marks early. Everyone just ends up playing the weak elements in the first few rounds. Then it's all the same decks later. Check the first 12 Lives event.

I don't like that suggestion at all. I really don't want people to be punished for getting unlucky in a game or to be forced to play bad decks because they're afraid of losing the good marks. Also, losing an element forever with no chance of getting it back doesn't lead to better strategy at all. It just means "lol, that guy lost all his PC, guess I'll play 5 dim shield decks"

In case there is an odd number of players, the bye will be given to the player with most lives. If there's a tie, the bye will be given to the player that has had the fewest byes throughout the event. If there's still a tie, a random player will be chosen from those that meet the conditions.

The person who is ahead gets an even bigger lead, making the tournament less exciting this way. One person might even be able to skip multiple rounds in a row.

If the bye is given to the person with fewest lives, there will be even more rounds with byes. Think about it, a player with 1 live could skip quite a few rounds in a row. But with the current rule, the players with fewer lives will match against each other, resulting (most likely) in an elimination of one of them.

I like this a lot more.
The problem with the current rule is that the person who gets a bye doesn't lose lives next round, so he likely gets all the byes in the tournament. That player might win the tournament without playing half of the time.

Mark switching decision has to be edited in the results post before the end of the deadline.
