Marks remaining into Round 3:
G1 - Mono-fire vs SoP Wardens/Squids went the way one would expect given typical draws. 1-for-1 SoP and Deflag exchange with Regy going +1 SoP. Early squids meant no damage from me. Fahrenheit made a dent but lost by >1 turn. LOSS
G2 - Dis-quake-bow vs MA Psi-tal went the way one would expect given typical draws. Early Discord trolled and 'hiding' Graboids waited to evolve for final blow. LOSS
G3 - Cata-titans Grav-mark vs Charger/Guard-tal was a fairly intense duel. I had a good quanta start to equal Regy's good quanta start. TWICE Regy started a turn on 9 Aether quanta unable to Fractal - with TONS of Gravity quanta. Got two Titans flying sacrificing the first one mid-game for G-Pull to avoid a surprise Fractal-to-death. WIN
G4 - I tried to get cute here, going with a modified Cata-titans Air-mark vs Mono-air. Problem at the start was I fail-built this with pendulums staying in despite only needed mark-quanta for Air. However, Regy has quanta struggles with two turns going by having only his mark and a couple Damsels for Air generation. Got two Titans flying again and won by half-turn, same as g3. WIN
G5 - Mono-earth vs Mono-fire was VERY close. This should not have been close. Regy brough uber-quanta split vs a 5-EQ deck. A nearly perfect draw for me was the only chance... Lo and behold - a perfect draw. I did not get any of my useless EQ until final turn I drew #1. I opened with two BB in-hand for both early Phoenices and then top-decked the last BB for the third Phoenix. Also able to hold a Stone Skin for turn-before-death save (21 HP heal and ended up winning with 13 HP!). Five of my creatures drawn meant damage stayed high enough to pull it out, narrowly. Wow, thanks RNG - pure RNG win here in game 5 (and arguably so in Games 3 and 4). WIN
Gg's Regy - thanks for playing them. RNG was a bit unkind to you, but perhaps as you concluded afterwards a 10-match Bo5 streak has to end somehow and RNG is a likely candidate for it.
