Game 1, loss
:
Why not start with something fun? A ghostmare without the Nightmares. Should carry all the psychological effects with the bonus of some extra cards for CC and protection. Played a Ghost early realising I was facing a ghostal and would have to outrush him and steal through shields. He played an Eternity, but I managed to cloak chain my way through the rest of the match. He starts Dim chaining and my steals are nowhere to be seen. I drew one on what was to be my last turn but didn't have enough damage to kill him (his dim shield was to run out that turn) so I held it, not realising he'd come away with the win regardless.
Game 2, loss
:
Deflagged an early Fahrenheit only to see a Fire Shield come out the next turn. No second deflag (really need to pack a little more PC) meant I lost.
Game 3, loss
:
Within a turn or two I had an OE, and EE, a flying weapon, a shockwave and a Sky Dragon in hand, but I worried about seeing RTs. Probably held back my cards for too long and ultimately lost discarding from a hand full of Ghosts.
Game 4, win
:
Opening hand had a good assortment of pillars, a Diamond Shield, an Improved Miracle and two Stone Skins. Seeing the gravity mark/pendulums I played a Diamond shield on the off chance he wasn't using Momentum (probably would've been smarter to wait and see something worthwhile to use it against). By the time I played my first miracle I was on ~20-30
. I was worried I wouldn't draw another in time and ended up playing an early Stone Skin. Luckily I drew a second and from there it was simply a matter of building my HP beyond reach.
Game 5, win
:
Slow start - two pendulum opening hand means waiting several turns to play the first Angel, and a Druidic Staff with two heals isn't any comfort either. Eventually got the first one out after playing the staff, still looking for an adrenaline, which was immediately sniped and shockwaved. Same case for the second Angel shortly thereafter. Played a third one accompanied by my first adrenaline which wasn't CC'd. Drew the rest of my angels within the next five or so turns, and had no need for the heals.
GGs majofa.
