Being made of respectively the strongest metal and strongest mineral, Titanium Shield and Diamond shield stresses on direct damage reduction, and it does its job wondrously. A max reduction of 3 damage from Diamond Shield is unparalleled anywhere in the game. Which eliminates FFQ hope decks' chance to win against you and might even stop a pharoah deck.

Strengths

Apart from swarm tactics, most poison tactics are cleared with the use of Titanium Shield and Diamond Shield, as poison relies of the counters. One to two venom scorps buffed to bypass the shield is usually not enough to accumulate a substantial amount of counters in a short time.

Furthermore, this card is the bane of adrenaline. As adrenaline only works with creatures with less than 5 atk, and works best with creatures with 3 atk, Diamond shield may totally negate the extra damage output of adrenaline.

Drawbacks

This card is a purely defensive card, and the damage reduction may seem unsatisfactory against dragons or singular heavily buffed creatures. Furthermore, when compared with the immortal Jade Shield which also blocks 2 damage, the Diamond Shield might look less potent than it sounds.
