Well....I get what you're saying, but don't forget that there's more than one way to be a good ally. Having an ally that can sneak up on your enemy, or is extra good at making your opponents discard cards faster(useful in a crippling strike, or siege) are both valuable.

I'd rather have a fortification that doesn't turn on me. At least if someone fixes my wall, the worst they can do later is try to tear it back down. All I'm saying is, 6 of the 12 were designed to be helpful allies, while the rest are left in the dust.

When I join, I'll be sticking to a mercenary tactic. Who knows, if I get every single element against me, I might be famous!

Well, then is a matter of trust. But anyways, "unwanted" elements (those 6 left in the dust) will most probably ally between themselves, and their powers will generally be oriented to destroy stuff (that's why they are "unwanted"), thus an "unwanted" alliance would be mighty.

Also the sneaking power darkness has can help you a lot in learning other elements' skills, and making you a better ally.

As far as alliance balance issues are concerned, I expect it to be largely self-correcting (or if it is not, that it will be unbalanced due to player action, which is fine).

I think for some special items, you should be allowed to gain "charms". I've already thought of 15 charms (PM me if you know where I got them from. I heard about them about a decade ago, and they seemed cool at the time.).

Creation Charm, Faith Charm, Unity Charm, Speed Charm, Destiny Charm, Strength Charm, Courage Charm, Purity Charm, Accuracy Charm, Strategy Charm, Prosperity Charm, Stamina Charm, Peace Charm, Willpower Charm, Duty Charm.

There's also Hate charm (for getting -100 rep in 6 villages), and Idol charm (becoming well-liked in 6 villages).

:darkness is in the Upper-Left corner of the map. 1 town on hex 002, another on 042, and the capital city, Moord, on hex 021

Alas, I know these will never be implemented, but I would LOVE for there to be different ways to earn electrum, such as working in specific city buildings. Players could work in these buildings for a certain amount of time, earning money and helping the progression of the city.

I would like to see:
Hospital. For every elemental working in the hospital, recovery time for beaten elementals is shortened.

Roads. These would be installed on hexes, and make the traveling cost 0 on those specific hexes.

Sewers. When a city is attacked, its defenders can exit the city and appear one hex behind the attackers, and get an "ambush" bonus.

Delivery system. An organization where people travel around the cities, delivering items, and getting money for it. They lose rep if they decide to just run away with the package.

Church. A building where you earn reputation for the element you preach for. Neutral NPC's could temporarily (or permanently) become converted. The church could also give you a "Faith" boost that raises how many upped cards you carry.

Soup Kitchen. A set-up where you cause the city to slowly expand in size, by helping its citizens.

Battlements installed in City Walls so that defending cities have better advantages over opponents.

A height advantage for attacking and defending players.

An embassy in villages you are allied with.

I feel like these would make the game a bit more... interesting.

An educational system that makes your citizens smarter, and increases your revenue.

While I like the ideas you have here, they would simply make the event too complicated. The only one I can really see that could possibly work would be the embassy. The rest would complicate too much.

The 30 post minimum is to ensure that you won't join, and then disappear some days later. We can see evidence of people disappearing from the mentoring program, which is a program that offers its services with no minimum post count.
