Some fast comments:
1- The damage dealing is inverse to Pandemonium, talking about fields. Just a little curiosity.
2- The unupped version seems very prone to AI trolling with photon nightmare + Ice bolts/water stuff in AI3 unupped grinding
3- The upped version may have a much more strategical usage. Graveyard, Malignant Cell, Mitosis and Fractal sure have synergies with it.
4- I would like the unupped version to target ones creatures too, with the upped one just costing 1 :water. Reason just mentioned.

@chapuz: I actually like the idea of the unupped and upped ones being different, and I hope that it stays that way.

@cunning wish: I think I'd be most likely to use this in a deck that spammed water dragons, but there's a few other possibilities as well.

Chapuz, I hereby challenge you to make an OTK with this. I was trying to earlier, using Dry Spell on enemy malignant cells to speed up quanta production to do an ice bolt OTK. Then I realized that 6 ice bolts at max quanta will only do a total of 96 damage. Now I'm mad. >.<

I already did it, I am currently oprimizing it
Guess what's my favourite card, wihch synergizes with Desiccation  ;)

Anybody thought about using this spell along with shard of patience -- perfect synergy on water creatures that grow in health for SoP. ? !
Spam cheap water creatures (fractal them ?), play SoP and drain water from them for more creature spam. Destroy SoP when enough damage is collected for OHK.
