Time to explain and complain over your inhumane pain and your insane brain.

math is absent since 02.06. and nobody has the slightest of idea what happened to him. Possibly just immense amount of work IRL.

Well. That was a blast for the 3.5 rounds it lasted. It is evident that to play  :entropy at just about any capacity, you need lots of luck. Sadly, I didn't have enough to pull through on my stuff.

Bad luck, bad nerves, bad decisions, great expectations from myself = quick loss.

It is the most painful way to leave War like this. This is probably the last War and we sorta
placed last in the last War. No words for my frustration. But I can give you the recipe for failure.

- Have burnout before War.

- Put a lot of effort into getting a single player at auction. (Then you may only curse "RNG" for the
first time that because of the tie at auction that player chooses the other team due to another
player already being there.)

- Figure out correctly that launching a very quick and brutal deck in R1 will make your opponents
think: how often will he play that? (Then watch that inhuman RNG /1:10000, thanks! Also thanks Zanz
for the utterly stupid mulligan method in this game./ which makes you lose 0-3 instead of a 3-0 win,
and your grand idea eats YOUR nerves and not your opponents'. The frustration ultimately made me
toss this deck without any thinking against Gravity in R2... Btw I found this fine deck in Trial
Archives, was played by Calindu, he hadn't got any luck with it either...)

- Defend your statements with arguments pointlessly against WMs, which will ultimately screw up
YOUR nerves, while stupid EC stays untouched. (Don't want to continue that debate, just mentioning
that it was really hard on me.)

- Lose matches in the most stupid ways. (Referring to the Weeaboo vs. DocC match.) That was another
nervebreaking moment, sort of a "what else will happen???!".

- Continually change your good ideas in the last moment, because of some random fear. (Did that 5 times,
lost all those matches. Looking at the original ideas: they would have won. Unless another 1:10000
RNG trolling. Don't ask, won't reveal decks. Maybe sometimes, I'm just not in the mood.)

- Have a Team AFK. Not blaming my team members, because that wouldn't be fair. Sickness, excessive
amount of work, personal life, and other random borks happened. I'm the kind of guy who works
a lot, doing statistics, helpful sheets etc. and obviously this style of approach needs more activity
from the whole team. Again, not blaming them, since they helped a lot when available. I'm especially
thankful for Zso, and thanks Doc for Saturday testings.

- Don't have a quick and reliable testing method (rip oetg-v). Testing in Trainer takes a lot of time,
plus results are less reliable, often must "tweak" games (you know helping out stupid AI, or swapping
cards which the AI cannot use properly with useless ones).

- Last three thing caused various last moment borks with Vault (not having enough cards for all decks etc.).
Working on Vault til deadline is normal, happened last War every round, but we never had such problems.

What's the difference between last War and this? Last War was more relaxed since the initial goal
was "let's survive at least one team", which changed into: "let's survive one more team". Team cohesion
was top notch, we were balancing out each other. Now I was more nervous about the outcome of War and that
sorta ruined everything. My personal life wasn't THAT chaotic one year earlier like now. Won't talk about
it, but I had less time and less nerve to contribute towards war efforts.

Forgive me that I was/am extremely bitter. I stick to my arguments, though it wasn't my intention to offend
anyone. When you feel that you have to prove yourself in a community to be generally recognized it can lead
to catastrophic defeats. From that R1 record bad RNG I entered a psychological downward spiral. Fear is a
mind killer. And if you say "why fear loss in an internet game?", well, maybe you haven't even felt this
sort of fear which is like my own shadow in my entire life.

Other random stuff.

- Overthinking is bad. This game is very binary, surprising things are really rare.

- Haven't played at least 5 of our decks. (Possibly more, not counting certain combinations.)

- Made 100+ decks before War / in Vaultbuilding period, and another 75 or so since R1. Many of them
looks janky, but effective in the right situation.

- Shock mentioned in chat that I may missed an experienced vet to help with deck choices. Not a bad guess. But.
I really needed another vet (we had Zso already), but not to make choices instead of me, but to have some
extra mental stability. That matters a lot to me.
Last words.

Excuse me, team. A general who doubts himself is far from being a good general.

To fellow players. Sorry for the disappointing behavior again, this event was too hard on my nerves.
And also don't pity me. Pity weakens the pitied.

This post was sorta ready at the end of R4. :D

Predictions of Light:
8, 7, 8, 7, 8, 7, 3, 6 and whatever Shock's was

I mean pretty glad to have ruined everyone's predictions

Editing to include soppy stuff
Big thanks to the team for helping out in ways they could, all opinions and assistance was greatly appreciated. Unfortunately couldn't run SoW Reflect as we had hoped to for a long time, but still got out some pretty fun decks nonetheless.
Huge thanks to the WM for hosting the last War of Flash, was really enjoyable, and I hope to see the trend continue in OEtG if that's the future of EtG.

NT is a nuts deck

This was a fun war! I must say, I really liked the upgrade modifier theme. Made for some interesting deckbuilding.

Otherwise, I don't really have a lot to add. 3rd place is alright, I guess, our initial vault should've included more copies of key cards, and deuce is awesome. Like, seriously - he is. Was a pleasure to vaultbuild, deckbuild and discuss matchups with him.

Props to team Earth and Fire, you guys kept giving us headaches. And congratulations to Darkness on a war well played, although I guess the title isn't clinched just yet. ggs all!

Well, that was a wild ride. Congrats to Darkness, you played an immense War and fully deserved the win. I'm glad we kept things close right until the bitter end. In the end we had our two strongest decks play your two weakest decks and our two weakest up against your two strongest, which is always going to favour the team that needs a 2-2. Such is the nature of 4v4s - wouldn't have it any other way.

Earth folk: Had a blast playing with you - the most important thing for me in War is that team chat is a fun place to hang out, and we definitely achieved that.

Warmasters: Thanks for all the effort you've put in. The market system was excellent and I've noticed a whole bunch of smaller changes over the course of War that made things a lot smoother than in previous Wars. Great job.

Team Time: I think you were dealt a bad hand with market prices this War - certainly much worse than what we had - and were contenders for the top spot until the final couple of rounds. Was really impressed by you this whole War.

Wyand: I meant to reply to your post a while back but never quite had the time. War is an event where people say that 10 Elements should be top 3 everytime - obviously a few miss out on that. At the end of the day, only you know what went wrong and what went right for you. I ended up bombing pretty hard as a first time Gen because I didn't trust my predictions enough - the next War I had a little more confidence and ended up doing very well with an almost identical vault and strategy. Also, I personally tend to do quite well in late game War and struggle in the first few rounds where there's far less information to work with (as evidenced by this War) - you never really had the chance to reach this later stage. For what it's worth, you played very well against us and were our most feared opponent in the first few rounds by a long way.

If people are interested I could post some thoughts on Earth, the market prices in general and the radically different way we and Darkness approached salvage, but I don't have the time to go into much detail right now.

Overpayed on me.

My app was accurate, I just about had time for matches and for the odd comment or idea.

Afda is awesome.

My ability to contribute was massively cut by lack of oetg/vanilla. Seriously, with it I think we could have won. Afda and I both have a pretty strong ability to work out in our heads what deck is favoured, but my greatest strength is in having a weird, janky but bespoke deck idea to face a problem - but to do that you need a lot of testing to see if it actually works. I had zero time for pvp testing. War would have been very different with vanilla. Serp... please please fix <3.

Loved ups market. Loved transmute rules. Best run war I have played in. Just sad no time or vanilla.

Our weakness early on was in trying to bespoke decks for certain predictions at the cost of other more niche matchups. We made our decks worse in order to improve chances in bad matchups. That light stall vs entropy was horrific lol.

My biggest contribution was in 5 SEPARATE ROUNDS convincing IF that cloak is a terrible card and never the answer.  :P

Was a fun war despite no vanilla, and I'm glad I gof to war with afda before the end. Just sorry (for the 10th time sayinv it) that you got afk, out of practice, no original ideas JCJ, not JCJ prime :P

Thanks all :)
