Title: War #12- Round 1

WAR #12 R1
The students have reached the college of their choice finally and are ready to learn everything possible. However the professors here are willing to only give 1 passing grade this year due to financial issues among the college funds. Twelve groups of students fight each other in a grueling battle for that passing grade!

Deckbuilding
Duel phase has started
Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat.

All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.

Fighting ends!
Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends.

PM your opponent and try to find a suitable time. Time Zone Converter (http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html) might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you both are online, please contact Warmasters--mathman101, ji412jo, and asdw152--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and flexible.

Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round.

Choose one club to join.
Joining a club provides a small boost to all decks.
  • Chess Club: +2 Upgrades to your decks
  • Religious Organization: +2 Salvage and -2 Discards
  • Networking Organiation: +3 Relics on win
  • Chemistry Club: Transmutation costs 1 less dust

Teams will choose one club for the entire team.
Post your decision in your secret section before the deck building deadline.

Please be aware this round is 2 days longer than usual so that we can get on our Wednesday to Wednesday schedule for having both weekend and weekdays in both phases of a round.

are shown decks visible to the opponent before end of deckbuilding? Will all our oppoents be shown the deck, even if its not actually used against them? 10 upgrades fixed number or in addition to normal upgrades?

these are visible to the opponent at the 24hours before deckbuilding ends deadline.
this will only be visible to the opponent your are facing. we will post your revealed deck in their secret section.
10 additional upgrades. These upgrades must be in your deck when you lock it in.

The round is currently scheduled to end Saturday GMT00, which is only 1 day longer and includes no weekend days (judging by timer).

I would prefer both days go to deckbuilding if the other went to duel phase.

When will be the mysterious 'Player 4's revealed by teams? Or no reveal, just communicating with the other Gens,
and we just fix a time and we'll know who'll we play before the match?

I'd assume that it's flexible, and anybody can play anybody, for maximum scheduling conflict avoidance.

3.6.2. UPGRADES AND UNOWNED CARDS

If a player absolutely cannot build a deck with the upgrades required, he must provide proof. Then he may play the match out replacing the upgraded card with unupgraded version.

If a player does not own cards in a deck (either due to a minor error, or while subbing), he must replace mark cards with pillars of that element, and other cards with relic cards. If a mark card was upgraded, the replacement pillar may be upgraded as well. Arrangements will be made for players who do not have sufficient relics.

If you are using the current EC club bonus, chess club, the gdoc might say you have too many upgrades and mark it as illegal. We are currently looking into fixing that, but for now best advice we can offer is double and triple check the upgrade amounts. our apologies for the delays.

It's a pain in the ass, but you *could* play on mobile if you wanted by using Puffin Browser. As far as I know, it works on both Android and iOS. (assuming you can get a new hard drive soon-ish)

Deepest condolences. Had two hard drive failures in my life: one resulted in a total loss, in the other case some data were salvageable (heh).

Yes, you may swap SEC each round. You may join up to 3 clubs, or stick to one club all throughout.

I mean even if you have to put in a lot of work and build stuff from scratch, can't you return in maybe 2 weeks? Play a couple of matches? It's entirely up to you. I mean my laptop is broken now (dunno if it's the motherboard only or the hard disk is dead too), but I hope to get that fixed and stick around.

Fuck fuck fuck and fuck

In the last 2 hours or so I've been "collecting water". With a dustpan and a mop and a bucket. Reason: a burst pipe somewhere at the upper floors.
About 6-7 buckets full of murky water. I was ready to sleep, enough testing for this night, and heard something strange. Like a noisy click.
Then all of a sudden the sound of a waterfall... instantly called maintenance, they were pretty quick, closed the main duct* - meanwhile I was pulling a Sisyphus
using the dustpan and the bucket, man if you want top efficiency you have to pressure the individual pretty hard.

2 hours passed, everything very close to nice and tidy. The remaining water steadily drips constantly, it is mind-wrecking. My neighbors above me
woke up recently, we were unable to wake them earlier, though we tried. Walls are all wet. I thought it is all over when I started to smell burned rubber.
Yeah, sure, water got to the main cables. Hopefully they dry out before burning down this whole fucking building. It would be really funny, losing everything
after having only 2 months back from the loan. So, I just sit here and cannot sleep, cannot do anything, waiting for some sort of resolving. Not much time until
decks deadline, lost a lot of precious time. Don't know how much I can sleep. Tomorrow afternoon work. Btw, I'm kinda happy that I was able to react very quickly and rationally.
Damage mitigation was perfect.

I'm usually not a drunk type, but come ddevans96, let's have a drink...

While I appreciate the support, all of your suggested alternatives, among others, were considered before I sent my withdrawal two weeks ago. It's not simply about just playing matches.
