WAR #11 Round 6
12 armies arrive at the glorious battlefield, each with their weapons drawn and their shields up ready for a battle. Each army is led by a daring General and a multitude of loyal troops, each ready to lay their life on the line for what they fight for. 12 armies will enter the battlefield, but only 1 will leave at the end.

The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.

After a spectacular 4-0 round, Air soars to the top of the rankings. As a result, they receive a bye.

Time, Aether and Light have fallen below 100 cards in vault! They are now fielding 3 decks each.
Deckbuilding
Duel phase has started
Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat.

All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.
Duels
Fighting ends!
Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends.

PM your opponent and try to find a suitable time. Time Zone Converter might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you both are online, please contact Warmasters--Zawadx and Jenkar--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and flexible.

Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round.

Super Event Card[/anchor]


A discard token may be discarded/used as a discard from deck.
Discard tokens may be used to pay off penalties too.
Tokens may be transmuted from the salvages for Rounds 4-6 i.e. starting from the next deckbuilding phase, not this one.
Discard tokens cost 6 transmutation dust. (4 if alchemist win)
If you are transmuting discard tokens, please post in a thread in secret section titled 'R4-6 Super EC' how many you're transmuting and from which deck. Be sure that you don't salvage/transmute too much from that deck in vault tool so that you have enough leftover dust.
You may not use the discard tokens transmuted in a round to reduce discards for that round.
The vault tool will list the number of tokens you have at the moment. If you wish to use discard tokens in a round, enter the number in the designated cell on vault tool.






Event Card



You may add up to 8 cards to vault, with total market value less than 501 points. Market prices are listed here.
All those cards will be removed at the start of Round 9. Additionally, you will have to discard 1 more card from vault per card added this way. (so if you added 5 cards, those 5 cards will be removed and you will also have to 5 additional vault discards in Round 9 deckbuilding phase).
These cards may not be used for discards or penalties otherwise.
Make a new thread in secret section titled 'R6 EC'. Post card you want to add by deckbuilding deadline.
You may use discard tokens to pay off the extra discards from vault by this EC.
If the card penalty in Round 9 would force vault below 50 cards, the team will have to use discard tokens to survive. If they do not have sufficient discard tokens, they will have to discard until they are at 50 cards, and pay off the remaining discards in Round 10. If they would be incapable of doing so in Round 10, they are eliminated.

Note some clarifications:

Discard tokens may be used to pay off penalties too.
You may not use the discard tokens transmuted in a round to reduce discards for that round.

Discard tokens are here to stay. They will remain in your vault till the end, so feel free to use them.

"These cards may not be used for discards or penalties otherwise." So pretty sure yes, you'd have to discard those.

Just out of curiosity, was the R6 event card based on some of the ideas jijo and I were throwing around?  It sounds really close to what we came up with, minus the extra discards thing.
