WAR #11 Round 12
12 armies arrive at the glorious battlefield, each with their weapons drawn and their shields up ready for a battle. Each army is led by a daring General and a multitude of loyal troops, each ready to lay their life on the line for what they fight for. 12 armies will enter the battlefield, but only 1 will leave at the end.

News

In a surprising turn of events, winner-favorite Water lost all games last round and fell down to second. Life might win war folks!

This is the first round where no team is truly safe; every team might be eliminated after the round ends. And yet, we might have no team eliminated. Anything might happen~
Deckbuilding
Duel phase has started
Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat.

All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.
Duels
Fighting ends!
Duel phase starts when deckbuilding ends.

PM your opponent and try to find a suitable time. Time Zone Converter might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you both are online, please contact Warmasters--Zawadx and Jenkar--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and flexible.

Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round.

(Air Sld) KingKiller 3 - 1 (Water Gen) LordOwner

(SUB indicates that someone else played instead of LordOwner)


Super Event Card




Each deck can use one additional soldier boost.
Generals and Lieutenants can use one boost, soldiers can use two.
You may not repeat a boost. i.e. a boost may only be used once across all decks.
Post all boosts used in a thread in secret section titled R10-12 Super EC.






Event Card




You must choose two boost from the list below. These are available to your opponents for use vs you this round:

  • Archaeologist: If you win, gain 3 relics.
  • Arch-Thief: If you win, gain 2 relic. Your opponent loses 2 relic.
  • Shelter Builder: -6 Upgrades. -6 Discards if you lose.
  • Polymath: +6 sideboard (follows all the rules of the Sideboard boost). After each game win, you must replace 3 of your cards with Unusable Cards. Unusable cards cannot be removed by the sideboard; they must be in the deck used for the duel.

Choices must be made by No Time Left. Make a topic in secret section titled R11 EC with your choices.


The boost is only available for their matches against you. So if Life chooses Archaeologist and Arch-Thief while Water chooses Shelter Builder and Polymath, Air won't be able to use Polymath vs Life or use Arch-Thief vs Water.

You choose two boosts which apply to both opposing teams.

The boosts are added to the list. Each player still only has the ability to use only 1 or 2 boosts.

If a team loses a relic while having no relics, they will be counted as having negative relics. i.e. they will not have relics to use until they gain enough to remove the negatives.

Unusable card should be a Dragon of an element whose quanta is not being produced by the deck. If the deck produces all quanta, use Phase Dragons. These cards may not be played under any circumstances.

Just to clarify, the Shelter builder boost has a -6 upgrade penalty but gains the following conditions:
1) if it wins it gets normal salvage.
2) if it loses it will only have to discard 6 cards

for #2 above, do the 6 discards come from the deck or from vault?

I was pretty sure -6 discards meant that the losing deck had to discard 18 instead of 24 cards.
