Radiation has seeped into the ground making the terrain unstable and unfavorable for the battling armies. They must learn to dodge the terrain as much as they dodge attacks.

Deckbuilding
Duel phase has started

Teams have to build decks for all players who are fighting during this round. All team members participate in the planning. Please do not post your decks in public or talk about them in chat.

All decks must be made ready before the timer goes to zero, after which, editing decks is strictly forbidden. Failure to have all of the decks ready will lead to a severe card penalty and/or automatic losses. It is highly recommended that all team members double-check their decks before the duels start.

PM your opponent and try to find a suitable time. Time Zone Converter might be useful here. If you cannot find a time when you both are online, please contact Warmasters--mathman101 and Jenkar--immediately. If the match does not happen, you both lose by default unless one of you is clearly more active and flexible.

Duels are "best-of-five", you must use the deck and mark built during the previous phase, and you cannot make any changes to your deck or mark during the round.

Event Card

Terrain Conditions
1. Dead Rising: For one game in the match, you may switch 3 of your cards for ones discarded in the previous round.
2. Balance Shift : After each game you win, you must remove 1 card from your current deck.
3. Time Twister: Choose to replay any game in your match once, for a cost of 7 cards (to be discarded from vault)
4. Random Rabbit Holes: During the first game both players use 3 less upgrades.



Notes:
Dead rising "switch cards" means to remove up to 3 cards from deck and replace with the same amount from the discards. Deck must always be 50% in element and have 4 in element ups. If upgraded cards are removed as the 3, the upgrades must be placed on the discards coming in, not moved to other cards currently in the deck.
Balance Shift removes cards after each win. Card may be pillar/pend. If upgraded, redistribute upgrade. If 30 cards, replace by relic/unplayable card. Deck must always be 50% in element and have 4 in element ups.
Time Twister must clearly state replay after a game if they want to replay. The match then continues as if the previous game was not played.

 Cool EC.  Quick question about balance shift - did you all mean remove (read switch?) a "non-pillar/pend" card?  Or do you want us to build 33 card decks?  Or do we build 30 card decks and hope to not roll a 2, as the first win would result in an illegal deck? Or do we replace them with relics if we have 30 cards?  Examples please?

Pillar/pend is fine.
If deck only has 30 cards to remove, then replace by relic, or alternatively, a card that will never get played (state in your post).
Redistribute upgrades, always have deck legal (50%, 4 in-elem ups)

But Relics can be used advantageously. Each time you click on Relic like you're using it, it removes one random quanta from your hand, while keeping the card in your hand.... What if your opponent wanted to Black Hole after you Nova/Immo'd???

I vote for unusable card over Relic.

Even an unusable card is unacceptable. A card in the hand remains a card in the hand! This is a clear nerf against nightmare, which depends on opponents having free space. This is a free 4 HP swing per unusable card! That is significant enough to swing matches, and discourages the popular Dark Domin archetype which both teams have used! The obvious choice is to raise the minimum deck size to 32. [/silly]
