Just to clarify, this means that I cannot bid on a 5th player while I have the leading bid on 4 others? I thus have to wait for someone to outbid me on 1 of my 4 before I can bid on another player?

How the heck would that be 99.6% in element?

Anyway, yes, only your starting vault has to be 50% in element.

My own summary of the bidding rules - less complete, less reading. Posting this here so I, and maybe others, can refer back to it. If anything isn't clear to you, go read the full rules. Please tell me if the tables are wrong.

General
  • Can bid on up to 15 different players
  • Can only have 4 winning bids at any point in time
  • 2500 points to spend on 4 players
  • When a new overtime phase begins, players without bids in the past 24 hours are locked in



Battle Bidding
  • Bid on a player in final 5 mins before new overtime -> Battle Bidding starts
  • Bid on a player in battle bidding status within 5 mins of latest bid -> Battle Bidding continues
  • No bids on a player in battle bidding status withing 5 mins of latest bid -> Battle Bidding ends
  • Min Bid does not increase until battle bidding ends
  • 24 hour 'lock in clock' not effected until Battle Bidding ends

I do not understand this rule, why are Shards excluded?
In my opinion, the fairest way to handle transmutation is to let the point total of the cards transmuted be larger than or equal to the card you want to transmute towards. So Fractal -> Fire Bolt is OK, but Skeleton -> Fire Bolt is not. The ratio would then be determined by the number of cards needed to add up to the price of the card you want to transmute towards.

I 100% agree with torb. At the very least shard transmutation shouldn't be banned. As the market shows, not all shards are equal, and if we are banning transmutation of OP cards why aren't non-shard op cards included?

Once auction has ended, how about having something similar to a draft round from War 8, where the General who bids the most points gets first choice of the remaining players, and so on, until there's none left? Gens can bid nothing and end up with no one guaranteed if they want to.

I'd really, really like to see the people without bids involved in War in some way. It's good for them, and it's good for the community.

Once auction has ended, how about having something similar to a draft round from War 8, where the General who bids the most points gets first choice of the remaining players, and so on, until there's none left? Gens can bid nothing and end up with no one guaranteed if they want to.

I'd really, really like to see the people without bids involved in War in some way. It's good for them, and it's good for the community.
Team Underworld coming back?

Being from underworld, I know how harsh it is not to make war, and then learning out of nowhere I could still participate was awesome.
But I don't think making an underworld team is doable right now.
Maybe some support roles ala war 5? Though I don't remember that being good, maybe it could be revisited.

I don't see anything wrong with the inclusion of an Underworld right now; there'd be some extra work in setting up the team-- an extra sheet for their vault and last-minute rule choices for them, but otherwise, I don't see why it couldn't be done. Matchmaking could work as normal between the 12 teams, and then X matches could be split up so that instead of facing each other those matches are replaced with each of the split up matches' elements facing underworld. Granted, there's probably a bit more to it than I'm seeing right now. WMs, any comment on this?

Question then becomes who will make the underworld team and what restrictions they will have. This will take more time and push war further down. It's a suggestion for future wars perhaps, but atm, people left out should just be subs.
