To keep the Decks section user-friendly, we need to set some minimal standards for deck posts.  Thanks for helping keep the forum clean and well organized! – The Deckhelper Team

Decks using cards "In Development" belong in the Beta Decks Section.

All threads must include an image of the deck.
Spoiler for How to build a deck image using only deck import code:
Code by Planplan

1. On the elementsthegame homepage click on “Your deck”, then “Import/Export”.

2. Highlight all the code and hit Control-C to copy the code.

3. When writing your post, look for this icon: and press it.

4. Paste the code between the tags using Control-V.

5. Press "Preview" and verify there’s a deck image (with mark) and the deck import code below it.

6. If the deck image is not showing up correctly, check the position/amount of all [].

Example:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4vc 4ve 4ve 4ve 4ve 4ve 4ve 4vf 4vf 4vf 4vf 4vf 4vf 4vn 4vn 4vn 4vn 8pj

Before you post, check if your deck has already been posted.

Spoiler for How to find a deck in three steps:
1. Find the card codes:
Search the code for each card in the spreadsheet below and copy (or note) it.
(Maxwell’s Demon and Plague = 4vd 52p for example)

Link for all cardcodes

2. Copy and paste this into the Forum Search
Just copy or write your codes for your crucial Cards in the search engine.
Spoiler for If you want to search in a specific section::
If you want to search in a specific section (Mono-decks, Duo-decks, Trio- and Quartet-decks, Rainbow decks), deselect "Check all" and press "+" here:
Now, mark the section(s) in which you want to search.
3. Press enter
Now have all post including your card codes somewhere.
Necro-posting
Spoiler for Hidden:
If you hit reply on an older thread you receive the following message:
Quote
Warning: this topic has not been posted in for at least 60 days.
Unless you're sure you want to reply, please consider starting a new topic.
This is a good opportunity to assess whether your post really adds value.  However, replying in old posts is explicitly allowed in the Mono-decks, Duo- decks, Trio- and Quartet- decks, Rainbow decks, and Deck Compilations sections.  Posting your thoughts/deck version/experiences in the outdated thread is much preferred over creating a separate thread.
Mono-deck definition
Spoiler for Hidden:
The forum definition of mono-decks changed at one point in history and this seems to be a source of confusion.  The current definition is "Cards from only one element and "Other".  Mark is irrelevant.

The definition is not
  • decks that use only one type of quanta
  • decks that use only cards that match the mark, where no "other" cards are allowed.
  • decks that use one air card and 59 aether cards
Animate Weapon is an Air card, Nova is an Entropy card, Photon is a Light card, and Spark is an Aether card.  If you have a mono-fire deck that uses any one of these, it's not a mono-fire deck.  Please put your thread in the Duo- decks forum.

Spoiler for Sample mono-deck:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4t4 4t4 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5fe 5fe 5fe 5fe 5fe 8pq
It's a mono-fire deck because it only uses fire cards and "other" cards.  Mark is irrelevant.
Spoiler for Not a mono-deck:
Mark: earth
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5f2 5f2 5f2 6rl 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dg 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dp 7dq 7dq 7dq 7dq 7dq 7dq 7ds 7ds 7ds 809 809 809 809

An earth mark, an "other" card, and 25 fire cards would make this a mono-fire deck if it weren't for the four aether cards.  Despite them having zero cost and serving no real purpose other than Cremation fodder, the presence of the Ball Lightnings makes this a duo.

Topics featuring more than one type of deck (e.g. Mono, Duo, Trio & Quartet, Rainbow) belong in the Compilation Decks Section.

Any topics which fail to post deck images in the proper format by using the forum deck image builder will be moved to Deck Help until this has been fixed.

The link to the card code search page:

seems to be broken!

Why does it contain the definition of Mono-deck instead of Trio-deck? If I have a Water deck with some Air and Death Pendulums, would it be Mono or Trio?
My idealized elements cycle:
Water -> Fire -> Air -> Earth -> Lightning -> Metal -> Light -> Darkness -> Wood -> Water

Trio because those pendulums are considered Air and Death cards.
