I made this fun little trio and it turned out pretty strong once I got the quanta balance right.

At the core of the deck is Toadfish and Voodoo doll. Toadfish are nice attackers, and the Dolls serve two purposes:
1. to be poisoned by the Toads, which adds to the Toads' offensive abilities.
2. weapon control via freeze and, if necessary, shockwave (a combination which can destroy even protected weapons).

As I see it there's little to be gained from upgrades, but it is a fun PvP1-er.

The trouble is that voodoo's are a bit lame if you get too many of them, and you're often too busy poisoning enemies to have at your own voodoos. You make a valid point, though =)

Also, just throwing it out that upgraded this won't work - The pufferfishes lose their abilities.

If I ever get like 4 death nymphs, I'd love to make a duo with them and voodoo dolls   If you wanted, you could also do a very similar deck with parasites/bloodsuckers.  You would also have steal so you wouldn't need the freeze/shockwave thing as well.  While that would make this a duo and thus way easier to quanta balance, you'd lose the rather significant hitting power of the toadfish, so it's a bit of a tossup.  Still, it looks like a fun idea.

Yeah, sadly there's not much reason to upgrade any of these cards, other than Freeze and Vampire Dagger. Even the Pends wouldn't help you get the Toadfish any faster. It's staying in my non-upped bank =p

I have thought about something very similar some weeks ago but couldn't find a suttable quanta balance, well done with it!

I'm posting to keep track of this and make some tests tomorrow-past tomorrow

Actually Furball's take is closer to the core theme of this deck than mine is! Lol. Nice take, it's nice having the extra CC spells, and the low dark cost certainly simplifies things! (I'm still going to stick with my Shield and Dagger though! )

I like the concept here. Not sure you'd need (or want) 4 death nymphs, though; expensive startup. I'm playing around with a combo that has 2 Grey Nymphs and 4 parasites. Will post once I've done some testing.

EDIT: having tried this concept out for a few games, I will echo that you DEFINITELY need more than two VDs. It's surprising how quickly they die as you add up the poison counters. The other trick is adding the right number of poison. For example, if your VD is down to 6 health and already at 5 poison counters on it, you don't want to add another.
