Votes will be counted by the alternate voting system. (Here's a nifty video explaining it)

Spoiler for Example votes:
e.g. if the 5 submission for Task X were by Wyrm, Pegasus, Psion, Gargoyle and Lycanthrope:

1 - Wyrm - Task X
2 - Pegasus - Task X
3 - Psion - Task X
4 - Gargoyle - Task X
5 - Lycanthrope - Task X

This is a valid vote.

1 - Wyrm - Task X
2 - Pegasus - Task X
3 - Psion - Task X

This is valid. You can rank all the ones you thought were decent and just ignore the rest.

1 - Wyrm - Task X
4 - Pegasus - Task X
2 - Psion - Task X
3 - Gargoyle - Task X

This is valid; but please ensure that the ranks are in order so that we can easily count votes.

1 - Wyrm - Task X
2 - Pegasus - Task X
2 - Psion - Task X

This is invalid. Please don't tie votes.

3 - Wyrm - Task X
2 - Pegasus - Task X
4 - Psion - Task X

This is invalid, since there's no vote for 1st place. Please start voting at 1 and go up.

Please send your votes for the miscellaneous category by sending a forum PM to Zawadx, Physsion and Afdarenty with the title "Phase 1 Vote - Miscellaneous".

Spoiler for Trials #6 Task, Building the Game:

Spoiler for Timdood3:
General:
-Rewards from AI2 and AI3 have been raised to give new players an easier time trying new decks.
--AI2 reward from ~10 -> ~20
--AI3 reward from ~20 -> ~30
-The way the arena leaderboards calculate has been updated to see more consistency between the preformance of a deck and its place on the leaderboard.

Entropy:
-The number of quanta scrambled by Discord has been reduced slightly.
--9 quanta in both forms -> 6 unupgraded, 7 upgraded
-Added Aflatoxin and Rage Potion the the Pandemonium table
-The "Deja Vu" ability on a mutant will now create a copy of itself instead of another random mutant.

Death:
-Aflatoxin's cost has been reduced by 1 in both unupgraded and upgraded forms to increase playability.

Gravity:
-Gravity Shield's upgraded form has been changed to Antigravity Shield:  Creatures with less than 5 hp are unable to reach you.
--In addition, both the upgraded and unupgraded forms cost 4.

Earth:
-Shrieker's ATK has been reduced to mitigate some of the power of rushes using graboids.
--Shrieker ATK from 8 -> 7
--Elite Shrieker ATK from 10 -> 8

Life:
-Giant Frog's cost has been increased by 1 to reflect the huge increase in power.

--This change applies to Deathsalker and Dune Scorpion as well.

Fire:
-Phoenix's Ash HP reduced to 3 to allow CC to at least touch phoenix.
-Fire Shield and Buckler now reduce incoming damage by one.  While Fire Shield accomplished the goal of taking out enemy creatures, it just costed too much health to be worthwhile.

Light:
-Holy Flash has been given a cost of one :chroma to allow it to be used in any deck without interfering with mulligans.

Spoiler for RootRanger:
Hello, Elements community! It has been a while since you've heard from me, so I'll give you the full story. A few months ago, I was contacted by an investor who was offering a considerable amount of money to me, on the condition that I would focus entirely on Elements, and he would have a small share of the revenues. I took him up on the offer and immediately began working to improve game balance, with help from a few veteran players. For now, I am only focusing on unupgraded cards, but the balance changes for upgraded cards will come soon. Without further ado, here are the changes we have decided on!
- zanzarino

  • Quantum Pillar generates 2 random quanta per turn instead of 3.
    • Ultimately, our team found that "rainbow" decks, which use five or more Elements, were extremely powerful in unrestricted play. However, rainbows were more balanced in the "War" event, where use of Quantum Pillars is uncommon. Thus, we have decided to considerably weaken Quantum Pillar in both forms, to make rainbow decks less overpowering.
  • Discord costs 6 :entropy instead of 3.
    • Another card which we found to be too effective was Discord. Our team considered this observation to be ironic, considering the "Discord" forum member. The entropy weapon was capable of completely dismantling non-rainbow decks, thus severely constricting the domain of viable decks (often referred to as the "metagame," apparently). We consider the cost increase to be appropriate.
  • Dimensional Shield blocks damage for 2 turns instead of 3.
    • When I originally made this card, I had intended for it to block only 2 turns of damage. Unfortunately, a typo resulted in the Dimensional Shield which all of you are familiar with. Lamentably, I was never made aware of this typo, and Dimensional Shield was never changed until now. Seriously, nobody brought this to my attention! I can't believe you guys thought this card was balanced. Absolutely ridiculous.
  • Fire Bolt costs 7 :fire instead of 3.
    • Jonnington. Need I say more? I also dislike the number "3."
  • Shard of RootRanger is removed from the game.
    • Our team discovered that even the very best players in the game were highly unlikely to win against RootRanger. In the face of considerable upgrade disadvantages, or extremely unlucky draws, we found that RootRanger was still capable of sealing a victory in almost every game. We found this effect to be most apparent in the "War" event, in which Element-centered teams compete against each other. In every single instance of the many repeated iterations of the event except for two, we observed that either the winning team used RootRanger, or there was no RootRanger in the event at all.

Spoiler for Kuroaitou:
Building the Game

GENERAL:
  • New Challenge modes/daily quests implemented! These include 'Play as a False God', Gambler mode (double your potential winnings or lose it all for a consecutive match using the same deck against certain AI), and 6 types of dailies that rotate weekly (Sunday's daily quest is randomized).
  • World map now fully updated. Players are allowed to opt out of the map mode, but may not gain reputation or mark experience from daily quests or challenges while in the original mode.

New general passives introduced:
  • Aquatic: Creatures with this passive will survive Flooding/Inundation spots. Aquatic creatures include: all water creatures (and the flown Trident), Horned Frog, Forest Spirit, Virus, and Malignant Cell. (Flying 'Other' weapons will not survive).
  • Dragon: All of the main dragons will have this new passive. It will be used for a future patch.
  • Attacking weapons are now affected by shield effects, such as: freeze, poison, and delay.

Bug Fixes:
  • If two Reflective/Emerald Shields are on opposite side of play, and a player casts a spell or using a spell effect on a shield, instead of the shield reflecting, it will instead read ‘nullify’; the spell will not deal damage to either player. Reflective shields will work normally when only one is in play and spell damage is done towards the player with it.
  • All healing-targeted effects and spells (Mend skill, Heal, Miracle, Purify, Holy Flash, and creatures with negative ATK + Wisdom) will not be reflected by any reflective shields.
  • Relic may no longer be placed in decks.
  • The Wisdom :aether icon should display as its own icon separate from the Immaterial :time icon.
  • If Deja Vu is targeted with Web, its copy will no longer have Airborne after using its skill.

Aether
  • Immortal: Now has ‘Momentum’. Upgraded stats changed to 6/3. Upgraded cost reduced to 6 :aether.
  • Psion’s skill now renamed to ‘Wisdom’, and is a status effect (but it can still be lobotomized, similar to Momentum).

Psiontal is weakened by the ruleset, but still pretty powerful. This version focuses less on the fractals, and is more about rushing the opponent down. Be as aggressive as you can, and use fractal as a trump card.

Spoiler for Afdarenty:
Rules:
For each game, each player will PM the deck they will use to the Tournament Organiser (TO). The TO then shows the deck to the players opponent, who will select 1 non-pillar/pendulum card from the deck. All copies of the targeted card are replaced with Relic (or another unplayable card, if Relics are unavailable), then players use those decks as normal.

I like this idea because it makes players build decks in a different way to most tournaments, and completely prevents copy/pasting decks from other events. It makes players think a lot about how their deck can win without their most important card in each match. Inspired by the Bishop perk from the Grand Master Battle.

Spoiler for Example deck:

Running only 2-3 copies of a card helps limit the number of dead draws you will have. This deck is packed full of cards that can single handedly win games. Wings is extremely powerful if you remove the airbourne creatures from your opponents decks, Eagle's Eye is extremely powerful if you remove your opponents high health creatures, and Air Nymph almost forces people to remove it, protecting your other important cards.

From Trials #8:
Starting Your Own Little War

Twelve selected
Spoiler for Hidden:
15 minuts before the Tournament starts, all participants may declare if they want to be Leaders of teams.
If there are more than 2 applicants,TO-s will randomly pick 2 Leaders.
Then 2 of them will pick their teams in this way...
Leader 1 pick team member from all other participants and Leader 2 pick one element (randomly who starts with player/element)
Then opposite - Leader 2 pick member (from remaining members) and Leader 1 element (from remaining 11 elements)
This way untill we have 6 players in one and 5 in other team.
If there are more than 12 participants, for twelve spot all remaining(not selected) players must fight between them in b-o-3 (using mono decks from 12-th element).
This way both Teams will have 6 players and 6 elements, that they can use.
Brackets -
Leader gets starting number 1,first picked player gets 2,and so on...
Then they fight nr#1 vs nr#6 from other team (2 vs 5 , 3 vs 4...6 vs 1)
Avoiding fight between players from same team, untill one team is eliminated.
Remaining players (from same team) then fight for the Winner.
Deckbuilding -
Each player can use only elements that his Leader picked.
Using elements from other team is not allowed.
In each round every element can be used only once.
In each game only 2 elements can be used.( monos allowed, but they must also declare 2-nd element  after game)

Starting Your Own Little War

Three's Please
Rules:
  • All cards must be cost a multiple of three quanta (excluding pillars/pends)
  • The total deck size of each deck must be a multiple of three
  • Each card must be in the deck a multiple of three times (including pillars/pends)
  • The number of unique cards in a deck must be a multiple of three
  • Three elements must be used in each deck
  • Each element must make up at least 1/6 of the deck
  • Decks can only contain elements that are multiples of three away from each other (for example, a deck can contain  :entropy:earth, and  :time)

A nice little twist on something that I feel we've done before, this includes all of the 3 related rules I could think of that allow for creativity without making the decks unplayable. I think it works better as an upped tourney because it gives the players more options in the cards they can use (see my deck below).

Can you count?

Your deck must contain 1 copy of one card, two copies of another card, three copies of another card and so on...
Your count can go up to 5 or 6.
The cost of any card must be higher than or equal to the cost of any card with lower amount of copies. In other words, the cost of the cards must be in reverse order of the copy count.
Pillars and pendulums can have any number of copies.

Example: I include 1 copy of card A, 2 copies of card B, 3 of card C, 4 of card D and 5 copies of card E.
The cost of card A must be higher than or equal to the cost of card B, which must be higher than or equal to the cost of card B and so on.

In a world where beanstalks reign over the world by growing tall above everything else, and flytraps show off their plainness before snapping their jaws around their enemies, these two mighty plants attempt to battle it out.

Spoiler for willng3:
Tournament name: Lucky Number 7

In the spirit of Elements's 7th birthday, I elected to create a tournament idea that revolves around the number 7 as a theme. The rules of the tournament are fairly straightforward but I would expect would still lead to quite a bit of strategizing:

Special Rules

  • Always read the second post! It contains equally important information most of the time.
  • All decks must start at 30 cards in size.
  • Aside from cards that are outright banned and the deck size restriction, there are no deck restrictions. However, in order to win, you must deal the finishing blow with a card that deals 7 damage. If the last attack to hit either player's HP is greater than or less than seven, then that player will instead lose the game played. Screenshots taken of the last turn will be used as evidence in all circumstances.
  • Shard of Freedom, Shard of Focus, Shard of Sacrifice, Shard of Serendipity, Catapult, Dusk Mantle, Fog, Lightning, Fire Bolt, Ice Bolt, Drain Life, Shockwave, and Eternity are all banned

Most of the ban choices here are simply to prevent situations where people can kill themselves with a spell card and then play it off as either the opponent killed them without fulfilling the correct terms, desyncs, etc. Fog and Dusk Mantle banned to prevent situations where they block the 7 damage dealers but not the others. Eternity because focusing on decking out the opponent really shouldn't be the goal here. SoFr and SoFo because nobody likes them. Added Catapult because it's not always obvious how much damage it deals.

For actual strategy...well, there's a lot to choose from. You can either focus on ensuring that you win as fast as possible with 7 damage or you can try and disrupt your opponent's creatures while also aiming to deal 7 damage. Buff cards such as Blessing and Chaos Power suddenly become weapons that can change your opponent's Attack suddenly and cause them to lose the duel. CC can then be used to prevent your own creatures from screwing you over. For an example deck using Life:
Spoiler for SPOILER ALERT:

Deck import code : [Select]
5c1 5c1 5c1 5c1 5c1 5c1 5cg 5cg 7ai 7ai 7ai 7ai 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7bu 7gr 7gr 7hi 7hi 7hi 8pp

Forest Spirits are the primary damage dealer, being able to get up to 7 Attack fairly easily. Green Nymphs in this case are actually meant to work against the opponent by Adrenaline'ing an opponent's creature and ultimately cause them to deal non-7 damage at the wrong time(s). SoP can be used to stall for a few turns if you don't want one of your Spirits attacking just yet, Octopuses are mainly for stalling your own creatures that grow to be too large. Heal can throw off opposing damage calculations and can also help you survive a bit longer.
Revising the ruleset to be damage in multiples of 7 rather than exactly 7 would be acceptable as well.
