Remember, the Requirements to Challenge are:

  • 50,000+ score in Elements
  • 200+ forum posts
  • Joined the forums no less than 3 months ago (at the time of signing up)
  • Participation in at least three separate PVP Events (Leagues, War, Weekly Tournaments, etc.)
A player may participate in Trials without meeting the 200 post and 50,000 score requirements if they are able to provide evidence of a significant PVP achievement. Examples of sufficient achievements include:
  • Winning a Weekly Tournament
  • Finishing in the Top 3 in Leagues or other forum PVP Events
  • Finishing on the winning War team

Note: In the event more there are more than four applicants (including the defending master) for one element, priority will be given first to players with the higher Phase 1 scores and second to a combination of score/post count.

Lol bripod didn't wait for the phase 3... this time ok I'will back (like gen or soldier), last time I was very bored with war, but now with more security in that event no problem to me.
 I intended to return in the war 10, but now intend to return next because I am more comforted.

Why is this viable?
The deck has Fire Spirits in it, capable of growing attack and becoming a menace if not dealt with.
Deflagration makes sure that the opponent's pesky permanents (Shields, annoying weapons, etc.) won't stay on the field for long.
Fire Bolt provides some nice CC and an optional finisher.
Phoenix helps cover for the frailness of the Fire Spirits. Good mid-hitter and better than Dragon because of CC resistance and cost.

General Strategy
Grow Spirits and play Phoenixes. Fire Bolt any powerful creatures and Deflag any Shields/Annoying Permanents

How I would use the card if in first
Since I have more cards in the vault, I would try to take advantage of the Event Card to surprise other teams with completely different decks, or make counters for predictions since I have more options.

If I were behind
I would limit usage of the card to maybe 4 cards a match at most to make decks more consistent and watch out for my opponents using this card as well.

Sock, Stapler, Wizard - Unupgraded
Before the tournament begins, each player must select a faction: Sock, Stapler, or Wizard. Each faction has its own set of rules.

Sock
- May not use spells.
- Bans: Discord, Shard of Patience, Dimensional Shield

Stapler
- May not use creatures.
- Bans: Shard of Sacrifice, Shard of Gratitude, Sanctuary

Wizard
- May not use permanents (exception: pillars/pendulums).
- Bans: Nova, Fire Bolt, Nightmare

What I like about this idea is that the rules are focused more on banning cards than forcing players to use certain cards. There are two advantages to this: the first is that players have a lot more freedom to put the cards they want in their deck, and the second is that it’s extremely obvious if a player is using an illegal deck.

Even though the rules give players a lot of freedom, I’ve made sure that the most powerful and annoying decks are taken care of. There’s no Grabbow, Jonnington, Phoenixbolt, or Ghostmare. Dims and Discord are both made difficult to work into a good deck. Most of the shards are allowed, but the strongest ones are axed.

Lastly, the three classes ensure that the majority of the match-ups will be between players who have different rulesets, which is much more interesting than mirror-matches. It also adds to a really fun theme. For those of you wondering, Wizard defeats Stapler (obviously), Stapler defeats Sock (by stapling it shut), and Sock defeats Wizard (by covering his wand.)

Due to its versatility, previous Fire Master Napalm once said that Fire was "complete," but not overpowered. Would you agree or disagree?
Indeed fire is complete. And its completeness is what makes it slightly overpowered in a setting like War. Fire has the privilege of being able to counter any playstyle from the opponent, so with some proper mindgating Fire will have an easy time winning war. In fact, in my opinion it has a better advantage than Aether, as Aether is overly dependant on Dims and Fractal.

Do you think the rules of war should be changed to balance out stronger Elements such as Fire?
It would be great if that could be done, but finding a proper balanced ruleset is pretty much impossible. It would be much better if Zanz would return and complete the other elements, especially Life and Water.

On a completely different note, describe your favorite Fire deck in two sentences without using the letter "r."
I'd say the best deck for the flaming element is Immo-bow. It lets you develop insane amounts of tempo, dish out fast damage and end the game without letting the opponent do anything.

Would you rather fight 1 Crimson Dragon-sized Phoenix, or 100 Phoenix-sized Crimson Dragons?
The Phoenix, because if I die to a phoenix' flames I'll have tasted eternal fire.

Who would win in a fight - the Human Torch or Ragnaros the Firelord?
Majordomo Executus would lose. Aside from that, seems pretty even. Eh, I suppose Rag would have the slight edge. Being the elemental lord of Fire and all.

Everyone knows how to beat the easy False Gods. You know who I’m talking about - those scrubs like Ferox, Miracle, and Neptune. They’re the False Gods who were only accepted into the game to fulfill the diversity quota, because there weren’t enough False Gods using cards from Life, Light, and Water. Now, I’m not going to waste time with those fakes - or False False Gods as I call them. I’m going to show you how to beat the ultimate king of False Gods, Hermes.

Why is Hermes the strongest, you ask? Because he has the most Fire cards. Take a look at his deck - that’s 106 fire cards. There’s no way you could beat that with some kind of chump-change 30 card deck, no siree. Nope, what you need is 60 cards of pure, raw Fire.

Now, how should we defeat this flaming behemoth? He’s got 12 Explosions, so we probably shouldn’t use any Fahrenheits - they would just get destroyed. For the same reasoning, we don’t want to use any Pillars either, so let’s fill the deck with 30 Fire Pendulums. Good thing we have a 60 card deck, eh? A 30 card deck filled only with Pendulums would be Tier 3, maybe Tier 2 max.

Now, let’s look at the rest of Hermes’s deck. He’s got 12 Lava Destroyers, and we certainly don’t want those puppies to live past their first birthday, so we need 12 ways to kill his Lava Destroyers. Let’s take 6 Fire Shields and 6 Rain of Fires.

Now we need some damage in this deck. We could just use Phoenixes, but those are too generic. No, we need something specifically designed for Hermes. If you know as much as I do about Greek mythology, then you know that Hermes is the god of ash. How do you defEAT something made of ASH? With 6 Ash Eaters, of course!

Our deck is looking pretty good so far, but Hermes is a pretty tough opponent. In order to beat him, we will need Spirit and Bravery. Let’s take 6 of each. This rounds out the deck to a solid 60 cards of sheer power. Hermes won’t even see it coming.

Nice, so :fire trial is certainly the most important of the trial 9 ::)

On a completely different note, describe your favorite Fire deck in two sentences without using the letter "r."
I'd say the best deck for the flaming element is Immo-bow. It lets you develop insane amounts of tempo(is the same of time?), dish out fast damage and end the game without letting the opponent do anything.
