I defeated Glitch 2-0 in the first round. Comments to follow. I will post decks after the tourney is completed.

Round 1
I used a fire mark deck and he used a water deck with purifies/heal/spectres. I had a kind of bad draw but SoG's allowed me to survive and i was able to control the late game with my creature control. I thought this game was going to be a deckout for Glitch.

Round2
I considered using the same deck but for some reason i thought he would go shields so i decided to use a gravity mark with momentum and oty's. And Glitch indeed did go aether with shields/dragons/SoG's. This time i got the coin toss and a good draw. A round 1 arsenic and a round 2 momentumed scorpion pretty much sealed the deal. I also got a round 4 dragon out to damage him a bit before he could chain shields. I had a 25+ poison counter on him at the end.

Good games Glitch and i prepared 5 specific decks just for this matchup.

Well, i got spanked by Jumba 0-2. Wasn't very unexpected though. Leading up to our matchup i tried to come up with decks that would counter either fire or earth mark decks (the decks i thought i would see). Momentum really screws me up here since one of my biggest assets in matchups is having bonewall. I knew these would be useless so i didn't even pack any.

Round 1
I tried to go with CC with plague/oty's. Unfortunately i had a bad draw and didn't draw any oty's or SoG's and only drew 2 pillars. I had momentums to instantly grow my oty's to 0/6. Jumba went a mass creature deck which i couldn't stop.

Round 2
I went with my air deck with shockwaves/plagues thinking he was going to use quicksands/black holes. And that's pretty much what he used with chargers and pulvy's. He also managed to get out 3 SoG's. I managed to kill 3 of his chargers but not much i could do (admittedly i didn't play optimally either).

MrBlonde defeats Terro 2-0

Honestly am surprised i won here. Mainly because i expected terro to use quicksands and pulvy's. I won basically because of SoG's and a little good luck and probably a little bad luck on terro's side.

Game 1
I went with a fractal/lightning deck and Terro went for a CC/poison stall deck with Earth nymphs and stone skin. We both got early arsenics out but with my SoGs and instantly lightning his nymphs Terro couldn't win the war of attrition. This was even with Terro using 4-6 max stone skins to give him a massive amount of HP.

Game 2
I almost went an air deck with wings/shockwaves/fog shield but changed my mind and went deathstalker/oty/momentum. Terro actually went with wings 2 dragons, 6 shriekers and stone skins. He decked out here but i think he only had a couple more turns before i would have taken him out.

What won the game for me was an early oty, round 4-5 or so, and this forced Terro to bury his shriekers. I also had enough SoG's up to heal me sufficiently and i killed his first shrieker with a plague. His only chance was to play all his creatures at once but at that point i had 5 SoG's, 2 oty's out and 2bonewalls in hand. Unfortunately he only had 70 dmg worth of creatures and once his turn was over 2 shriekers were devoured, bonewall played, and SoG's doing their thing.

...and Essence's bad luck streak continues in epic fashion.

Round 1, version 1, I had an epically good draw, and Mr. Blonde had an epically bad one -- and we desynched on Turn 4.

Round 1, version 2, I got 1 Water Pendulum and that was it for the first 6 turns.  By the time I could do anything except play a Shard of Gratitude and have it Detonated, it was all over.

Round 2 started better -- he draw SoGs, I stole one, he drew more.  I played Crawlers, he SoGed over them.  I played Dragons, he Thunderbolted them.  I saved up enough quanta to kill him in one final burst of Crawler+Ice Lance damage, and he put down a Phase Shield at EXACTLY the right moment to save himself.  I foolishly decided on a Liquid Shadow rather than a 3rd Steal -- if I had taken the 3rd Steal, it would have been game over for him.

I swear to the Gods, the only reason I won against Gl1tch is that Kills cursed him in the last Trials.  I literally cannot win an important PVP game to save my soul.  I'm genuinely afraid that I might lose my title if this keeps up.

MrBlonde defeats Essence 2-0.

Once again Lady Luck shines on me even though i tried my best to lose game 2. I actually deserved to lose game 2 and i feel like a total noob. I ended up decking Essence out but i should have won the game much earlier. I used a fractal deck and when i went to fractal i wasn't paying attention at all (was chatting) and i ended up fractaling his crawler...    So i ended up locking my hand up with 7 crawlers. Wow.... just wow.... Anyhow onto the writeup.

Round 1
I got really lucky here because we had an early desynch. I started with 1 tower, 5 SoGs, a recluse and a Dragon. Essence had an entropy mark and a nice 4 tower draw. And of course Essence being Essence after we restarted he ended up with a horrible 1 tower draw and i opened with a 1 tower, 3 pendelum draw and dropped a recluse on the board as well. I used a fire deck with Firestorms/explosions. I blew up his first SoG and his first tower. Essence couldn't find another tower and only managed to get out a discord which at that point was useless.

Round 2
I used a fractal deck with lightnings/phase shields. Essence had an icebolt/dragon/crawler deck with steal. Since i saw his whole deck i believe he had 5 crawlers/3 dragons/4 icebolts/2 steals/LS. As i said before Essence lost because of deck out. I ended up killing 2 dragons and 3 crawlers with 2 lightnings and plague.

Because of my error with fractal Essence actually could have won if instead of LS packed another steal or if he didn't icebolt my 1st recluse. On his last turn he icebolted me down to 90. He actually could have finished me earlier but i played a phase shield right before he was going to attack.

Good games Essence. And hopefully your luck turns around in your final battle.

MrBlonde gets his revenge and beats Jumba 2-0 to make it to the finals. Didn't think i could do it but with some advice from Nils i ended up pulling through. A first round desync hurt Jumba because he had a decent hand and mine was poor. Coincidentally this happened with my matchup with Essence.

Jumba went mono-gravity with oty's and chargers. I fire lanced his first oty and blew up his SoGs and by the time Jumba could get anything going i had enough damage out to win.

I took 4 stacks of pillars to offset EQ's but it was all for naught since he went mono-gravity again with chargers/oty's/sogs. Ironically i pulled only 1 bone tower the whole game (had only 3 pendelums for most of the game)and that was after about 16-18 turns. I had an early arsenic and was able to plague/explode/lance everything to eventually pull out a slow win due to me eventually having 5 SoG's out.

Zeru beats me into submission 1-2. Zeru made some very good decks to beat me and wasn't fortunate enough to have desyncs save me this time.

Unfortunately Zeru made a 40 card rage quit style deck with no creatures. SoDs/SoGs/Miracles/Holy Flash/Antimatter/Dis Shield. At the end i quit 5 turns out when Zeru told me he had a Miracle. I really was this close to playing my fractal deck which i think would have beat him.

Zeru also played a fractal deck and i barely won this matchup by chaining a bone wall and a phase shield at the end.

Round 3
I did too much thinking here and used the same deck. I figured he wouldn't think i would use the same deck twice in a row. So zeru played a darkness deck with steals. Wonderful. Didn't help that i started with 1 tower and i think ended up with 2 total. He also plowed out the damage early with 5 aboms in the first 3 rounds i believe. He also plopped out a dragon and stole my phase shield to crush my dreams of being completely awesome and winning this tourney.

Congratulations MrBlonde on making it to the Finals in the Master Tourney.  Pretty impressive even if you didn't win in the end.
