TIME TO ENTER THE TRIALS
PHASE 1 DONE

:aetherbig

Please make sure you've read the Rules very carefully. Also, here are the Phase 1 Rules for information on Phase 1 tasks.

To join these Trials, post in this thread a single post containing the following information:

Spoiler for Phase 1:
-Name of Task
-Evidence of completion

Spoiler for War Bonus:
-Evidence of participation/WMing last war
-If you were a General, and were in the same War team as the element you are trialing for, evidence of your General-ship

Spoiler for Loyalty Bonus:
-Tell us how many times you have participated in Trials for this element before
-Give us evidence of your participation in each of those trials

You can find more information on the Phase 1 tasks in the Phase 1 Rules.

Note: In the event more there are more than four challengers for one element, priority will be given first to players with the higher Phase 1 scores and second to a combination of score/post count.

Why not try for one last trials attempt... would be nice to know if war is going to happen again or not

Task 1 - Deckbuilder 1
Spoiler for Hidden:

Not a lot of unique decks last aether trials, but this was probably my favorite. Went 1-1, should have gone 2-0 but my turn 2 discord trolled me in the loss. Anyways, I like this deck because odds of turn 2 discord is very high, which usually allows you to build up enough quanta for silences and a dragon by the time your opponent can play something useful. It's not a fast deck, but an average draw can be tough to beat.

The counter

Lots of options for counter, but tried to look for consistency here. Sanc is arguably a must because it disrupts disctroll and silence, which leaves you only to deal with damage. Obviously discord can troll quanta, and could lose before get what you need. But ~50% quanta + upped light quanta + upped sancs + dials makes your ability to draw and play early sanc very likely. The inability for the deck to OTK makes it a virtual guaranteed win once sanc is out unless dials and dims both hide.

Task 2 - Deckbuilding 2
Spoiler for Hidden:
Only Eternal Phoenix and Gemini are options. Both are relatively easy to counter with 40% aether. Figure going building for EM would be best. Gemini lacks CC outside of lobo, so quinted purple nymphs counters pretty hard. Added BEs to destroy lobo (for EM) and dims (prevent deckout), dragontal to speed it up a touch.
Spoiler for Gemini:

Spoiler for Buffed Gemini:
Since Gemini is easy to counter and EM, may as well beef it up a bit while keeping the same card aether/gravy card numbers. Since it's vulnerable to renewable CC, replace the creatures with immortal dragons and SoW replaces momentum. Add sofo for PC. GPs can be used on own sofo or on enemies. And tech in a few lightnings because they can be used on enemy creatures or direct on HP. Overall still beatable, but much more challenging than current version.
