Surprised to see Joey open with Ghostmare. Siphoned the first Ghost that came out, we desynced just before the second appeared, unfortunately I didn't have another Siphon in hand for this one. Played the Pande I had in hand on it, but it rolled a Fire Bolt and the Ghost survived. The AI had Reverse Times in hand for each Antimatter I played, so was eventually beaten down to 0 through Dusk.

Earth mark. Saw his deck size and knew it wasn't a Devquake rush, I had banned Auburn Nymph/Basilisk Blood so I suspected Wardens. He had very poor quanta draws all game, complained about a lack of quanta while I kept playing through against his Earthquakes
stole an early Vagger, and eventually got more Crusaders and Flying Vaggers out than his Wardens could handle.

This was my anti-Siphonary deck. I expected him to bring Siphonary in the second odd game, but he didn't end up using it at all. Gutted to see I was going up against another Earthquake deck, as this one was very pendulum-reliant. Accidentally played a second pendulum into the stack the turn before he Earthquaked it, ended up being quanta-starved by Devourers all game. Got a Nymph and some gases out eventually, but didn't have the air quanta I needed to make enough of them. Lost by a turn.

Another Ghostmare... had two Steals in opening hand, so stole a pendulum to slow him down. Single AdrenaVagger got him down to 70HP before the first Ghost + Nightmare hit. Discarded a Ghost because I was confident I could outheal the damage penalty. Eternity came out, which I stole right away. Siphoned the Ghost to stop a second Nightmare. Drew another Animate Weapon and had the chance to fly/Adrenaline my stolen Eternity, but held the combo in favour of another Vagger, which came a few turns later. Swung for the win with three weapons on the field.

Getting used to playing against the same two decks by this point
good quanta split protected me from any major Earthquake damage, but still ended up being quite quanta starved in the mid-game. First Sanctuary came out at card 15. Joey claims he would have won if he drew more damage, but I was holding Sundials for a while. Drew a Steal, which I used on his Vagger to completely stop his net damage output, and he conceded the next turn.

Aether mark, knew I'd be facing Dimensional Shields so I held the Steal I had in my opening hand. Strong quanta draw on both sides. Stole the first Dimensional Shield that came out, chain top-decked my remaining two Steals in a stroke of incredible luck, and scored another 100-0 win. RNG was definitely on my side this game.

Another Siphonary counter here, as I expected to face it at this point - saw the Life mark and suspected Devtosis, was quite surprised to see the first Frog come out. Hax Shield was MVP in this game, and blocked the vast majority of his damage - unfortunately, at the very end of the game, it let both remaining Frogs through, when I would have won if it had blocked one. He won with 2 HP to spare, very close and very fun game.

Knowing that Joey would have picked up my odd/even anti-stall/rush pattern by now, I knew he would bring either an Owl's Eye/Shockwave deck or Antimatter to this game, as I had banned most other control cards in even numbered games. Brought Siphonary again, which acted as a perfect hard counter to his Purple Nymph deck. Held my Siphons til I had 20 Darkness quanta, took out his Dragon and Black Nymph, and he conceded next turn. His deck was illegal, as it used 22 upgrades.
5-3Thanks for the games, Joey, you made a very strong opponent, and I hope you enjoyed our battle too.
