I was thinking about Trials and Masters' Tournament again just now and thought about an alternative thing for the Masters' Tournament: namely to change it from double elimination to round robin. It's obvious some elements are a better matchup for other elements, which is best fixed by making each of the Masters battle each-other rather than just letting RNG decide who gets byes or a better matchup.

This gives each of the Masters 11 battles to fight, missing Masters would give auto-wins (debatable?). Since current score lies in the 0-12 range giving 1 point per won match perfectly matches this (only trolls will cry about that one point), points will be distributed more evenly with an average of 5.5 + ~0.5 per missing Master.

Time for this is also much more efficiently used than in elimination where one waits for your opponent to be known before you're certain whom to prepare for, double matchups would also become impossible (which I think is good). I think 2 weeks should be plenty for a setup like this (debatable).

11 matches in 2 weeks is pretty brutal IMO. Even leagues gives an average of 3 days per match, and leagues don't require a specific opponent. Many events that require a specific opponent give 4-7 days for a match.

Well I think Trials is supposed to be one of the highest standard PvP event, and the Master-to-be's should be able to cope with this.

Even masters have RL constraints, and I suspect that many matches would be left unplayed. Even with this format there were matches left unplayed due to inability to settle on a time.

Many of these Masters were only available at certain days, but not others. In that sense, it doesn't matter how long the time span is, but if both can play at a specific day/time it really helps to have a time span of at least a week compared to 2-3 days for one specific match, and no other matches.

Quest for confirmation : we are allowed, as masters, to drop our title and go for another element in the same trial session?

I'd like if, for community vote, there was a thread that would exist for asking questions to ALL participants in ALL trials at the same time.

I'd like if, for community vote, there was a thread that would exist for asking questions to ALL participants in ALL trials at the same time.
As in:

"Are your decks ISO-9348 approved?" (I do not know what ISO-9348 is. Does it exist?).

And =every= contestant in =every= trial would have to answer that?
