4th Trials - Phase 4 - The Final Battle

Bad news.  I will be afk for almost a day after the ban deadline passes, which means bans will probably not be made public until then.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

But you don't have to wait for the list to be made public.  Feel free to share your ban list with your opponent after the deadline if you both want to get started on deckbuilding.  My afkness doesn't change the ban deadline and any submissions made after the deadline will be ignored.  The deckbuilding deadline should not change either.  Players will still have over four days to build decks and that should be plenty. 

If there are any questions, comments, or concerns I should still be available via PM.

at first, I was expecting pika and Higs to ban lightning, but because they can ban deflags and steals, phase shields become massively overpowered. I think pika might have made a tactical error in banning fractal over phase shield. I was hoping for an epic showdown, but I'm afraid pika might be at a fairly significant disadvantage I hope pika has some tricks up his sleeve!

deuce, pika definitely knows what he's doing. I really doubt he would make a ban that gives him a "significant disadvantage". Fractal is a very strong card, and pika made a good choice.

Bans are a two way street.  The Fractal ban was a good choice, but not banning Dim Shield looks bad only when you see the bans Higs made.  Higs took a chance with her bans that pika wouldn't ban Dim Shield, and him it over the fences as a result.  If pika had banned it her bans would look significantly weaker as a result.  I mean Unstable Gas, for example, is an extremely weak ban unless Dim Shields aren't banned.  Really pika didn't make bad ban choices.  Higs just took a chance with her bans and hit the jackpot as a result.
