Where? Please enter the Tournament room at least 15 minutes before the tournament starts. Click "Rooms" in the top left to find it.

Rules Please read the PvP Tournament rules carefully before joining the tournament. Remember to also read the Special Rules listed below!

Prizes 1st place 5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon) 2nd place 5,000 electrum 3rd place 4,000 electrum 4th place 3,000 electrum In case of 16 or more players, tournament prizes will be increased.

NOTE: You need just one presentable forum post to be allowed to join tournaments; you can post it here. If this will be your first tournament, a Tournament Organizer will test your knowledge about the rules. So please be present in tournament room 30 minutes before the tournament starts.



Special Rules

• Players can only use War 11 Decks.
  .
• Players can only use each War element once for the entire tournament.
  When players post a win result, they must also post which War elements they used in what order.

• Players can only upgrade 12+2R or less cards, regardless how many upgrades the original deck has. (R="current round".)
  Players who have less available elements than their opponent are also given +4 upgrades.
  Any cards can be upgraded with the available upgrades.
  (Round 1 is the first round where all alive players duel. The round before that is considered Round 0.)

• Mark cards can be changed to Pillars of the same element.
  Nymphs can be changed to either an alchemy spell or a creature of the same element.

Q: What happens if someone plays 12 games before the tournament ends? Are they allowed to start over?
A: In case of 9+ players, all players regain access to all War elements when Round 1 starts. With this, players will not run out of elements in Single Elimination.
Special rules apply in case of Double Elimination.

Q: What about decks that originally had sideboard? Do they have to be played as they were, without any changes?
A: Those decks should be played with the sideboard, without changes.

Players who win 2-1 in Round 1 can change 3 off-element cards to anything.
Players who win 2-1 in Round 2 can do the same. This means that the maximum cards a player can change is 4 (if we don't count Mark cards and nymphs).

About the confusing parts, the rules are now updated. Thanks for the keen observations!

A: While we don't expect this to happen in Single Elimination, if it happens, the oldest used element becomes allowed after each game.

i think this is a great tournament idea that gets me very excited for war.
perhaps the upgrade advantage for losing matches 2-1 when you could've played to win 2-0 should be addressed but i dont think it is worth having less elements to choose from for your next games especially if my suggestion is implemented.
due to the nature of whats decks you may face being quite finite(upgrades my vary) i think for this tournament there should be up to 10 mins between games in a match so you and your opponent can work out what elements they have left and are likely to play

edit: to add on this there may also be upgrades you need to decide on midmatch even if you have decks planned

Tournament Organizer Note

It is still early, so we decided to change a few things.

We completely removed the following rule:

• Players who win 2-1 in Round 1 can change 3 cards to anything.
  Players who win 2-1 in Round 2 can do the same. This means that the maximum cards a player can change is 6 (if we don't count Mark cards and nymphs).

We also updated one of the rules to the following:

• Players can only upgrade 12+2R or less cards, regardless how many upgrades the original deck has. (R="current round")
  Player who have less available elements than their opponent are also given +4 upgrades.

We also changed an answer to a previous question. It is now as follows:
