Prizes

1st	7,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark + Trophy (Forum Icon)
2nd	5,000 electrum + Nymph/Mark
3rd	4,000 electrum
4th	3,000 electrum
5th	2,000 electrum
6th	1,000 electrum

Players who lose their quarterfinal (Top 8) matches will compete for the 5th and 6th place prizes in a mini-tournament. Prize-eligible players (namely, ones in the top 8) who leave the tournament without notifying the Tournament Organizer of their intent are considered to have forfeited their match, and also their prize.

NOTE: Players with fewer than 10 forum posts are not allowed to enter tournaments. Spamming low-quality posts to reach the minimum post count needed to participate will not be tolerated.

Special Rules

• Upgraded cards are allowed but not required.
• Shards are banned.
• All permanents are banned except pillars, pendulums and mark cards.
• All decks must be monos or 50/50 duos (odd-numbered decks are allowed).
• Your deck must have 35 or more cards.
• Your deck must have at least one copy of every non-rare creature matching your mark.

Well, the rules don't say you -can't- use nonrare creatures, only that you must use all the nonrare creatures in the duo, so it looks to me like squid/pharaoh/nymphs would be legal, just not required.  It also sounds like spells would fall into the same optional category.  From my interpretation (which is by no means official) I'd say that the dimshield deck is illegal (dims are banned permanents; I think the silences are fine) and the fire/water deck is illegal (not 50/50), but I think the light/earth deck and the death/time deck would both be legal, assuming you didn't miss any of the nonrare creatures; I didn't bother to check that.

Quantum pillars would be legal, but I think just to simplify the rules that they should be banned.  The rest of the 'other' cards are already banned due to being permanents, and quantum pillars would probably just cause unnecessary confusion with the 50/50 rule.

Why ban blue nymph? I don't think it'll over run the meta. This feels pretty much like pvp2 honestly.

Rule amended: this was supposed to be posted as a mono+duo tournament. Monos are now allowed.

For the curious, we'll do this theme again in the future, with rainbows being allowed. It just seemed more interesting to force monos/duos this time around.
