Just one word:

Rustler.

'Nuff said.
Rustler's ability can only be used once/turn after SoR is used on it :).

JMizz, can you elucidate a little?  Given that you have to sacrifice deck slots (ie cards drawn) to get it when you could be drawing another attacker or another control card, is it actually that overpowered?

I haven't found any situation that makes it jaw-droppingly strong yet, and I've been working over the most expensive-to-activate creatures I can find.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

hmm, flying trident, gravity nymph
I am testing more =(

This card is really OP atm I think

And this creates a huge problem, some people have like 10 nymph from oracle while some of none.
Clearly this shard is perfect for alot of nymph.....

IMO, the most profound change this card brings is the surprise value. For example, Otyughs and Maxwell's Demons can pop out and instantly kill a creature, whereas before the opponent had a one-turn warning. This makes spells less unique in their ability to surprise, and makes Precognition more useful because you don't want to be caught off guard.

Second, many more decks can become viable because they no longer need to splash off-color quanta.

Also, you can use a creature's ability multiple times in the same turn by casting the shard after it's used its ability.

So far, this card seems a BIT too OP. It heavily favours nymphs. Also, usually, you had the 1 turn to get rid of an otyugh before you got eaten. Now, you don't get that turn. Still, nice card, but I can't get, as I'm not allowed to donate :(

This + Purple Nymph = :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
Free Antimatters!
This + Flying Eternity + Photon + Quintessence =  :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o
Never, ever deck out! (Unless they have Fire Shield or Thorn Carapace)
This + Anubis =  :o :o :o
Free Quintessences!

I could go on for longer, but I have better things to do.

Actually I'm for Generic rather than your mark. Just becasue the coding seems simpler and the idea is to remove any reliance on any particular element,

I agree with the coding part

But you mean as in not zero, but cost random quanta? Same cost?
Say oty cost 1 (Random)?

I think a random quanta cost would work far better, as Kael said. This way it does make some duo decks mono, but it also keeps the cost so you can't keep using a nymphs ability, or Arctic Squid even, for free.
