Higurashi 2-3 Regyptic

Elements matchups too ruff, plus terrible RNG. Still ggs though; upped Aether quanta sources proved problematic.

Game 1 (W) vs. Darkness/Water:

Game 2 (W) vs. Aether/Water:

Deck import code : [Select]
52i 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5ic 5ic 5ic 5ic 5ig 5ig 5io 5io 5io 5io 7gk 7gk 7gk 7i6 7i6 7i6 8pp

Game 3 (L) vs. Devtal:

2 Earth pends all game and Reg gets 4 Devs without Fractal xD

Game 4 (L) vs. Devtal:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5ic 5ic 5ic 5ic 5ig 5ig 5io 5io 5io 5io 61p 7gk 7gk 7gk 7i6 7i6 7i6 8pp

3 Earth pends but Reg gets 3 Devs before Fractal. They steal 1 :earth, though it wouldn't have mattered.

Game 5 (L) vs. NT Trident:
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 542 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 713 80l 80l 80l 80l 80l 8pu

At this point Reggie realized I had been using the OP deck and copied it. I debated between this and a much rushier deck. Should've gone with the riskier one; it could've maybe had a chance, but it had no way around Dims, and he still had access to those.

Regyptic 3-2 Higurashi

Thanks for the games. I agree you had the tougher elements in this match up.

Spoiler for Game 1 (L):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4st 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5i4 5ie 5ie 5io 5io 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5up 5up 5up 5v1 5v1 5v1 5v1 7gm 7gm 7gm 7gm 7tb 7tb 8pt

Drawing a steal would have been nice in this one though it probably wouldn't have mattered in the end.

Spoiler for Game 2 (L):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 5jm 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 622 624 624 624 625 625 63a 63a 63a 7gm 808 80l 80l 80l 81q 8pu

I got an amazing quanta split from the draw and was flooded with quanta but didn't draw fractal until nearly half way through the deck when Nymphs were already out to slow my Psions to a halt.

Spoiler for Game 3 (W):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]

Lucky Dev draw won this one. versus a bad draw for her. Higs quit once I had lock and Fractalled Vamps.

Spoiler for Game 4 (W):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4st 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5um 5up 5up 5up 61o 61o 61o 61o 61o 622 622 622 622 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 7td 7td 808 808 81q 81q 8pt

I decided she probably wasn't using Dry Spell and would use the same deck again and so upgraded quanta this time. Drew a good number of Devs again and she quit again after Vamps came out.

Spoiler for Game 5 (W):
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5aa 5ic 5ic 5ic 5ic 5ig 5ig 5ig 5ig 5io 5io 61p 7gk 7gk 7gk 7i6 7i6 7i6 8pp

At this point Reggie realized I had been using the OP deck and copied it.
Lol, I had actually built this deck several days ago, I promise. Although the oracle has yet to grant me as many Queens so I had to make do with tears in my version.

Now good luck to the rest of my team!

andretimpa 2
hainkarga 3

ggs

I am actually surprised to have gotten to game 5. Was not confident on the elemental matchup

G1 & G2
PU/fractal mashup

Those psions were not the greatest idea ever. In game 1 I burst my damage once I was confident haink didn't had CC. In game 2 I only drew the psions which made me horribly slow.

G3 & G4
Fractix

RNG was a darling and decided to give me all 3 fire shields against psions, clogging my hand for the fractal. Everything went wrong basically. In the other game, well I was expecting haink to play RoL/Hope at least once.

G5
Fractix + OP skellie
Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
52m 5f5 5f5 5f5 5f6 5f6 5f6 622 622 622 622 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 63a 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 7ds 8po

Once I saw haink's immos I knew that either my fire shield would stick or I was toast. He drew a lot of immos so maybe even if the shield hadn't been exploded I'd have been outrushed.

vs BNymphs

1 pend start. FML. Upped Blue Nymphs. Double FML. Killed the nymph with a double lightning, Destroyed the UG but got beat down with sky dragons.

vs PsionTal Blitz

Expecting him to bring his super OP nymph's again, I brought my super OP nymph counter (originally built in case I needed to fight hain). Fog did nothing and rages couldn't keep up with all the Psions, ended up drawing no damage and all my flying weapons.

vs Fractix

Silence chaining is fun. Made him unable to fractal for 2 turns, then he got out 5 phoenixes and an ash (through immo), I replied with a Ruby and PU. Late fractal took me to 12 (?) HP. Late PU took him to 0 (or -5 if we're getting technical).

vs BNymphs

I'd like to call this deck, "I can't believe it's no MegroN". Any way, my MegroN impersonation didn't end as well as when he did it. He had nymphs and dragons, I had a phoenix and an EE (which got deflagged). And once again, sky dragons beat me to a metaphorical pulp.

I'm not going blame the Random Number Goddess, but in every game deuce started (and consequently ended) with more quanta than me. Not to say that I would have won otherwise, I just probably would have made it to game 5.

This mirror match up was determined to be simply luck and mindgating, two things I am not renowned for. That and some Nymphs.

Sorry team, I tried but with no avail. At least we won one (Good Job Reg!)

I should lose more often. It was actually exciting this way, and I got to make deuce sweat. He performs better then.

Well, we won the match where we probably had a slight advantage and lost the two where we probably had a slight disadvantage. Well played team, we'll come back stronger next round.

Thanks for the games Aether in Aetherium. Good luck for the rest of the event. We'll just have to beat you later.
