Thanks for the games Legit.

I drew all the Fractals early which made this slow but in the end there was too much fire power to control and I was eventually able to finish things of with the help of the 2 Ice Bolts with a handful of cards still left in my deck.

I think I got a bit lucky here but a one pend draw vs a 3 Dev draw should generally lose. Still there was a turn where he got to 4 :water quanta and a Dessication would have crippled me. He quit after I got the lock.

I got beaten down by Ash Eaters and a couple of Minor Phoenixes. Lost by a turn.

2 - I expected Devtal but started with a one pillar draw and never got enough quanta for a Fire Storm even when I had it in my starting hand. I expected him to bring upgraded Devourers due to this threat, which was why I didn't use upgraded Dry Spells. In hindsight this deck needed more quanta but I built it on the spot.

Very good games, joe, especially the last one. If I had lost that I would have been pretty dead to FractaChargers the next round.

I was going to use an immo deck, but decided this was better. It faced off vs. his own Immo/Lightning spam deck, but it didn't really matter since I was so slow to start off, I was at 47 hp before I had any kind of board. Handily his win.

I got a much better starting hand this time. He played what appeared to be FractaChargers, but what ended up being pretty much just quanta and Chargers. Fortunately, I had enough CC to take care of them and let my little guys beat him down.
Spoiler for Game 3, 4:

Game 3: We had an early dc at first, so we restarted. I got the dream starting hand of 3 pends, but no Discord with it. However, it came a few turns later, and the rest of my hand was clogged with Chargers enough to smack him around while he couldn't play any cards.
Game 4: This one was really close. I started with only a single pend, meaning I would have to draw another within 2 turns to have any sort of chance. It did come, to my fortune, and I managed to get out a quick Discord to slow his attack. The rest of the game was mostly just me playing a Charger that subsequently got killed by Lighting. That happened about 5 times. When he drew a second Phoenix I was in real trouble, though, because I was now losing the damage race rather heavily. To compound matters, he deflagged my Discord. However, I got just enough hp back from BH to mitigate his damage for a few turns and end the game with Dragons.

I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

vs SNova trio

A bad start on his side and a solid one on mine. I got some good damage out, he rage potted a golem but I had enough damage out. Lightninged a lycan and cruised in for a very comfortable win with I think around 50HP left. Plain sailing.

vs GravyFire

Was expecting Dischole to come here, so I brought the "drowing-in-quanta" deck. Unfortunately, I still suck at mindgating. I had 3 chargers to start and a lot of quanta. Unfortunately, he had enough Rage Potions and Gravity Pulls to deal with all 3 before I got a chance to do anything of significance. So I just sat there and wallowed in my puddles of quanta. I got a PU and a charger much later but it was far too late to try to pull it back. I played the charger but kept the PU hidden incase I needed to surprise him in a later game.

vs DiscHole

Wait, why did I play this deck again? I think I was trying to save my immo trio for a later game, so I used elements that I hadn't so far. And it didn't end well. At all. As soon as that disco hit the floor, I just couldn't keep up with the party on Terroking's side. Yes, I'm aware that that sentence made no sense. Long story short, I lost. Hard.

vs DiscHole

Easily the closest / most tense / most fun game out the 4. Swapped back to immo since it was the only one that had won for me. Drew all my lightnings early and zapped all his chargers before he could do too much damage. Deflagged a couple o' discords along the way. Was one turn away, already cracking out the party hats and BAM, black hole and dragons puts me back in trouble. A second black hole slowed me again but my high damage by this point meant I could win next turn, I had 16 HP and he had 1 dragon out. If he played another damage source, he won. If not, I won. And then came dragon No. 2

GGs Terro. Was very close and very fun. This was going to be tough any day of the week. And now we wait for andretimpa and the dictator to see who stays and who goes... dun DUN DUHN!!!!!!

RNG was hating on me left and right these matches.

(G1) Once I saw fire mark and no creatures I figured it was firestall. I new that as long as I played my spiders slowly there was not much his RoFs could do. But I didn't drew any creatures or arsenic for a long time and this slowed me enough that he won with 2HP.

(G2) In game 2 I didn't drew any fractals. So he outrushed me with queens while I drowned in quanta (this pissed me a lot, since I tested this matchup a lot and never had such a bad draw).

Game 3 WIN

Reclusetal again ...

Reg pops up in the team chat and my luck does a 180 turn.

(G3) They say the third time is a charm. So I put a fate egg to make a "trio" and did - pillar + fractal to minimize RNG shenanigans. He got a full quanta start and nothing but that. I cruised to victory (the RNG gives, the RNG takes).

Game 4,5 WIN

(G4) Early ghost + early fractal vs bad quanta start = gg. Also GotP > RoF.

(G5) Got all 2 fractals and an HG in the starting hand. Just chained dims and poked him with eternity until I got to a ghost. Silence + Fractal sealed the game.

So basically the score (after talking to him) seems to be

RNG 5

The RNG was strong on this one.
Sorry team for spending my luck in todays tourney instead :(
That game me a mark and a forum icon though, while this would have been only an icon at best ;)

I rained fire on a bunch of fractalled recluses, twice, and after that I just chained sundials until I had enough quanta to kill with bolts, with fahrenheit chipping away at his health. I was down to 2 hp's before I managed that though, stupid arsenic (and my deflags hiding in the last 10 cards).

And girlpowah strikes again. The RNG on this game was seriously weird though: no fractals for him, and no shields, squids or immolations for me. So we just ended up bashing at each other with nymphs versus spiders, and I won the damage race.

I started out with 6 pendulums and no shield, or rain of fire, and they never showed, so it was a bit of a lost cause. (Permafrost would have been so nice against his second turn arsenic :( )

Contrast to last game, I got only 1 pendulum for start this game. Luckily I got a few afterwards, but by the time I had saved quanta just to play permafrost, I was down to 23 hp's, aka, a sitting duck. (Yes, same as game 1)
Well, no hourglasses for the first 15 turns pretty much spelled my doom: I couldn't collect the card advantage I needed, so in the end he play ghost + fractal + silence for a two turn kill, and I couldn't do shit, especially since my draw was quite horrible aside from the lack of hourglasses. Which made their lack even more painful. I never got to draw a permafrost, which could have really helped for the expected Ghost+Fractal, and with only 2 sundials drawn, I couldn't hope to chain those to pinch out the extra turns I needed. (Though I think one might have done it, since I might have gotten just enough quanta for the kill right on the turn I was silenced).
