How long does the oracle's card last? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=30819.msg391540#msg391540
« on: September 10, 2011, 06:11:14 am »
I just spun a  :water nymph (woo hoo 4th nymph), and I kind of want to use it in a deck, except my current deck is doing very well, 7 consecutive wins so far, and I don't feel like taking that down.
This is like the only chance I'll ever get to use 5 upped  :water nymphs, so I'm wondering if it's worth it?

Can I wait about 7-8 days when my deck starts aging and still use the nymph in my arena deck, or is it too late at that point? How long does it last, if I don't spin?

To be honest, I doubt a :water nymph deck would be any good. Personally I'd skip it.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

If you dont spin, it lasts forever. The better question is, do you really want to risk not spinning, and therefor not getting another nymph?

The Arena deck still stays up if you spin the oracle. Just spin and don't change your deck!

You get the OPTION to build a new deck after you spun the oracle.

But he wants to use the water nymph for his 5 main cards, so if thats what he wants to do, he needs to refrain from spinning until his current deck dies off.

What I would do...
Keep your deck through tommorow and see how good it does, if it looks like its time to replace it, set up your new oracle deck with the water mark and spin that oracle while praying for a 5th water nymph so you dont need the oracle pet anymore for that deck style.

Eh, I usually don't get nymphs back to back, you know.

Anyways, it's good that there's an unlimited time limit. And IMO, water nymphs should be fun. There really aren't masses of people doing the arena anymore after the initial hype, so it's not really all that impressive. Most people have gone back to AI3 or FGs.

There IS a time limit. Yesterday's Oracle card disappears when the Oracle resets (GMT 7 am, I guess midnight where the server is). So if you refrain from spinning the Oracle, you won't be able to make a new deck at all.

This, it'll just show a blank card if you wait until next reset and instruct you to visit the oracle to make a new deck.

I havent logged in for over a week... I can still use my last oracle card (which I didnt build a deck for since it was a skeleton). Unless im looking at something wrong.... Might want to go with Shantu on this to be safe instead of sorry though.

Skeleton was the card that you got if you've never spun the oracle in beta/live/new account. Maybe if you wait a long time it reverts back to that?
