Ash sweeps across empty lots, bordered by marble columns rising in jagged lines. The stench of destruction is overpowering, as if the city's foundations rest upon burning sulphur. Charred arms and broken standards lie scattered, their origins blurred by the passage of scurrying scavengers and the rage of shrieking winds. In the distance, the setting sun brings an ominous red glow to the land. These are the last remnants of the City of Light, and as the sun falls so too might her chosen army.

But light glimmers in the ruins, a faint beacon of hope in the otherwise desolate area. It is here where the White Wizard Zso Zso prepares the last army, supported by their lieutenant, Blacksmith. He encourages the troops, reminds them of their divinity and courage. The walls may have been shattered, but they are of the Light! They will use the chaos of battle, the strife and discord as weapons of their own! For he is the white wizard, and he promises a miracle. And even as the shadows fall, the men are not afraid. They fight for their brethren! They will reforge the sanctum! They are the Chosen Few, and they will reclaim what is rightfully theirs! The wizard lets out a cry, and the army responds. The next day, he leads them to sally forth, ready and eager to fight the invaders looking to claim their sundered homes.

An ambush! The Dominion of Aether's hired mercenaries teleport into the fray, a seemingly limitless number of copies popping out. Discord and pandemonium abound, and the wizard and his warriors wreak havoc on the Graviton legionaries even as another platoon rushes into the fray. But the enemy has more men, and the Light are too few. The Chosen fight with the ferocity of dragons, but even they cannot match the sheer weight of the Graviton Legions, and the enemy force begins pressing them back, falling one by one until they are forced to retreat. It is a ragged and sorry band of warriors that returns to their camp in the ruins...
