Spoiler for Hidden:

Game 1 - Lost toss. Saw Darkness mark for him, seems Higu's prediction is correct, again. Although his deck is fatter than I'd expected. We each had 3 or 4 quanta starts. He got a Dagger and Shield out fairly early but I got a lock soon after. I stole both permanents, played Eclipse and then let it play out, not wanting to give him any more information about my deck than necessary at this point.

Game 2 - Lost toss again and had about 6 quanta in opening hand. He got out a turn 2 Octopus which kept freezing my Pests to stop them locking him down even after a Fractal. I eventually got the lock and Vamps out, then stole his Dagger to ensure the win.

Game 3 - The most interesting game of the match. He got an early Nightmare which meant my first Fractal was pretty feeble. That along with another fast Octopus for him meant he was still gaining quanta. He played a Dessication (good thing we brought Pests) and a second Nightmare just before I'd have been able to play a second Fractal. I held cards for a few turns to discard some Octopi. Once he got a Nymph out I decided to basically empty my hand, playing some pends, a Vamp, a Steal on a water pillar and getting a Pestal. He kept freezing stuff but my Eclipse came soon after which pretty much ended it. I played an Octopus just because I could but he killed it straight away .

The upgrades were not random and had reasons discussed privately by Team Water.  Further information can be gleaned by reading the Team Water sections once they go public or asking dd to provide (post-War, I'd presume) responses.
