Well this was a very close matchup and likely ToRB should be favored here. Think i got the best of the RNG here but not entirely too sure. Was expecting GoTP (hence the huge amount of pillars compared to the QI) but got a rage/fire chicken/dragon/nightmare deck. This deck nullified my wings BUT they still were helpful in that i was able to block my own arsenic when it was stolen.
Game 1 (win) - Saw the fire mark, cursed, ToRB said hurray, and it was off to the races. I pulled 3 pillars the whole match but it was more then enough and actually probably won me the game. I hadan early arsenic and i pulled all my poisons so was able to win this one semi comfortably since all he had were a few phoenixes out chipping away. He stole my arse but i just played my wings so it was irrelevant.
Game 2 (loss) - Here ToRB showed me what he was playing. He raged his upped obsidian to make it a frightful 17/1. He smashed me this match.
Game 3 (win) - Basically i kept getting nightmared but was able to get a semi-early 12 poison counter on him. Fortunately for me after all those nightmares i was able to topdeck another poison to win, although an arse (3) or dragon (2), would have done the job.
Game 4 (win) - Another close matchup where i won by 5hp. I had a good draw here as i was able to unload a 2nd turn arsenic and poison on him. I also had a dragon and enough pillars to play him reasonably early. TorB had no steal the whole game and no pends to start so he started slow. He kept nightmaring me to slow down my draw and right when i didn't think he had a chance a nova and a rewind popped out. Then a raged obsidian and a nightmare. When i was able to drop my dragon again i pushed him down to 1 hp and i was at 26 with him having 1 MP and a 17/1 obsidian. Played a wings just in case he stole my arse and played a phoenix.
Well got a bit fortunate here and almost paid the price of going with my own deck instead of Root's suggestion of adding Recluses. I was going all out vs his GoTP and didn't want to have to worry about my recluses getting rewinded. Good games TorB, a pleasure as always.
