I saw Light Mark -- oh no, RoL/Hope... going to need early Phys and late Lobo to poison to win before Fractal-AA/Nymph/Dragon!


G1 - AD plays lots of aether pillars... hmmm, SoW Reflect, RoL/Hope, or Psion-Bless-PU?  A wild Dim appeared, I played Phys poison SoP and had 8 turn win.

G2 - AD plays LOTS of quanta and fractals Psions very early and cruises to 8 turn win (7 turn loss on my side).  WHEW!  Well, if he draws like that I'm hosed!

G3 - Finally play a squid (had yet to draw one of the four) and it makes the difference.  8 turn win again

G4 - A lot slower win as I draw too much quanta but get squids to delay the damage for Phys poison to win the day.  Not sure I had a single physical-damage hit on AD this game as Dims were plentiful.

Final: 3-1
Good games Light and I look forward to seeing your deck - I was intrigued every game by what cards AD wasn't playing!

Lose - R1: Simply a case of his deck being faster, nothing spectacular at all
Win  - R2: Got an insanely good start (maybe not insane, but shh), managed to deal exact damage for the win one turn before he would've killed me
Lose - R3: Ew ew ew squids
Lose - R4: Ew ew ew even more squids, this time there were TWO, LIKE REALLY WHY YOU GOTTA PULL OUT SO MANY

AD played that game 2 perfectly... I didn't draw a squid, lost coin toss, and AD won turn before I had lethal.  So even game 2 was close, but alas no relic here.

Nothing against you team Light, your deck is legal by the rules, and it'd be stupidly unfair to go changing those now.

Light's deck is why Tinkerer really shouldn't include pillars. In an event about fighting for your element, Light's deck has nothing to do with theirs.

I concur about ridiculous monos like that. However, pillars are needed to fuel decks such as the following (my team almost decided to run it):

Tinkerer imo can cultivate some really creative decks, but monos like those do give tinkerer a bad name. Maybe you need at least 5 in-element cards (excluding pillars/pendulums) when going tinkerer. I mean, for  , playing a Mindgate tinkerer deck with 5 Mindgates and the rest with pillars + some cards from the element you're facing that round could be a legitimate strategy and would be fun to see.

The idea tinkerer is good after all, but would have more one condition being at least 10% in element cards.

I agree it is bad and I'm in team light but just like every other team here we want to win so if the rules can be bent to aid us so be it I'm sure nearly every other team may try this at some point I just hope this is a rude awakening and we don't try such a deck again
