Name: Akikaze Shiro
Age: 27
Appearance: Long black hair in a braid, extremely slight. Backwards-capped bird feet.
Alignment: Genetic Alliance, born and raised in The Democratic Kingdom of Japan.
Back story: With Japan's wealth, they were among the first to have the genetics machines. Akikaze was a famous genetics researcher who was known for his very odd senses of morality; he never experimented   on animals because he thought it was cruel, so he chose human convicts instead. As Akikaze's family was very wealthy covering this information from the public was easy, until one of the 'discarded' experiments who was thought to be dead told the public of Akikaze, Akikaze then used nearly all his strength to fly across the north pacific and land in upper California.
Equipment: Cargo shorts and a sleeveless sweat shirt, he also has an advanced  version of a magnum handgun that is extremely light.
Powers: His arms's can shift into wings, though it is extraordinarily painful to do so.
Other: When the success of genetics research became apparent, Akikaze wanted to try fulfilling his own childish dreams of flight by testing wings, however, no matter what he did, the subjects were to heavy for flight, after many calculations he realized that with the weight of human bones flight was impossible, so he gave himself Osteogenesis imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease), a long forgotten disease that had been cured, but using the sampled genes of subjects he still had in his lab, he realized that this would highly decrease the weight of his bones.
Personality: He has a childlike innocence of the world, but also a childlike mindset and logic.

Question; can we have more than one character? Or will that be not allowed because of it causing to much time problems?
you can make as many charachters as you want, but if you looked at the timeline then you would have noticed that the genetic mastery was achieved much before the current time in the rpg, so he would be much older.

Doh! Can we go with he's much older than he looks because of all the experimenting, but he still has a healthy body?

Actually, that would be pretty cool. I was thinking of adding a character that had survived from before the apocalypse anyways, so this fits perfectly, although you're going to have to calculate and post his exact age.

Okay, thanks  :), that would make him around 158 (allow 20 years at the start of the genetics break) updating my original post now.

(Making a new character.)
Name: Glenford Raleigh
Age: 21
Appearance: Before the experiments: Blonde hair and large green eyes. After: Eye's like a fox's (brownish yellow and slitted,) ears of a cat (grey colored,) tail of a racoon (grey and black striped,) and the legs of a wolf (grey and blackish.)
Alignment: Industrial Powers (Father was English, mother English, born and raised in Japan.)
Back story: Was raised in japan with his mother and father, eventually, after making many bad choices in his life, he became a notorious bank robber for many years, until he was caught and was sentenced to prison, however, instead of going there, he was bought by the Akikaze family as a human lab rat. After days or months or years - he could never remember -  the experiment they were testing on him supposedly failed and he was sent to be discretely buried like all the rest of the 'Failures', due to luck and coincidence, the burying of the corpses was accidentally postponed, and the still alive Glenford was able to flee to safety, then, to get revenge on Akikaze, he told the news all that had happened to him, leaving Shiro to flee for his life. After that, his hatred for the genetic alliance made him travel to the Chinese Empire and join the Industrial army.
Equipment: An incredibly light but strong armor suit easily worn over a regular outfit and an automatic rifle with grenade launcher attachment. (Think an improved version of a modern ACR. ACR - Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adaptive_Combat_Rifle))
Powers: Excellent hearing (cat ears,) good balance (raccoon tail,) good eye sight (fox eyes,) fast (wolf legs.)
Other: Akikaze's 'test' on Glenford was to see how many different types of genes could be put in one person without them clashing, hence all his different power's and traits.
Personality: Nothing else really matters to him but getting revenge on Akikaze, even if he joined the war because he hated the Genetic Alliance, he would gladly betray them if it meant destroying Akikaze.

Just some of my ideas if you like: Artificial inteligence in computers
Ability to alter your own DNA.
                                                     Animal with enhancing virus.
                                                     Nanites

things is bold could probably appear anywhere, although sentient A.I. would be really rare because it is a steampunk feel, but it could be a relic, things in italics you're going to have to explain to me >.<

nanites I'm gonna say no to, they would be to advanced for either the Industrialist Powers or the Genetic Alliance to handle, but I see nothing wrong with photographic memory.
