Cameron had been reprimanded harshly for adjusting the catapult and damaging relations with  :time, but Iredia was subjected to a full-on examination and study, to find out what happened. The investigation revealed that had happened earlier when the Catapult was broken, was that Iredia somehow used her innate  :gravity power to dey gravity and float, the glow was actually a holy light, focused on her, and the gravity sphere shattered under a shockwave blast. The bad news was that this meant all the catapults at  :gravity's disposal were either incomplete, or needing repairs, or missing.
Iredia herself was perplexed at the string of spells she had used, and described the experience as 'I was aware, but unable to do anything to stop what was happening.' There seemed to be no real way to explain this effect, and definatly no way to explain how a pure-heritage  gravity elemental was able to suddenly draw from several elemental powers across the spectrum, including one that not even gravity elementals were familiar with.
And so, while the higher ups argued over the best course of action, Iredia was to be sent to the Forest of Life to be examined by the healers there. Perhaps they could figure out just what it was that happened to Iredia.
Iredia was escorted by an Amargio, which would both act as a bodygaurd, and as insurance that Iredia wouldn't try to flee...

[@TPIsaGenius-Question, how fast do you think word travels/how much time is inbetween your posts? I can't help but htink that a few days would need to have passed before the life folk would have heard about the gravity catapult stealing and all that?]
[One could say that Air elementals help share information with the rest of the world. Or, that new recruit that Drake_XIV mentioned was actually an Earth/Gravity spy, since both of those elements distrusted the subtle Time elementals? They CAN change time, so who knows what powerful stuff they can do, right?]
[Two words : Carrier Pigeon.

Also keep in mind that each Elemental has to have strengths and weaknesses - I'd guess there is some kind of caveat to time manipulation.]

"Yo, Lyra! I hope you're not leaving too quickly, because I got picked to adventure too!"

"Oh come on, Jenkins, do you have to go with me?"

"Yeah sure, Kuraz already agreed, he said if I wanted us to team up so badly we should!"

"It sounds like Kuraz just didn't want him to blabber about tales of glory and all that bull-"

"Ugh. Fine. Just don't rush out attacking at the fight sign of danger. It was your fault the the dragon came after us as our last time as Adventurers, anyway!"

"That was a long time ago, Miss Explosion! I'll be must more careful this time, savvy?"

".... Fine." She turned back to Eusa, who simply gave her a pitiful shrug. "Good luck... I guess?" The female Stablemaster said as Jenkins ran out declaring how he 'put the Power Trio back together'

"Oh Divine Asteriel, Scion of Light. I hope he really has learned something, or he's going to get us killed." Lyra sighed. "Do you have any idea where Kuraz is?"

"I heard he's already at the City Gate. You might want to meet him there and make all the emergency plans you possibly can."

"Indeed. I'll be heading over there then, and thanks."

[Feel free to use Dimentio Revane in your additions as well. A description of him is in the Character/Location/Event Information Spoiler]
[Another note: To make this RPG a little more interesting, would anyone like to intertwine stories a little bit? If you want to, PM me or whoever you want to do so with. Just an idea, OK if no one wants to.
(Sure, my charachter is already in the realm of life, once Legit approves me I'll post involving your charries. I'll probably be causing mayhem.

Something rustled in the bushes nearby.

"Did you feel that?" Penn started.

"It's probably some Antlion or something, shoot an arrow at it and it'll go away" Ren replied, not paying too much attention.

Penn nodded and took out his Owl Eye, a magnificent blue bow, that Ren couldn't help but eye with jealousy. Penn notched an arrow and shot it into the bushes. There was no movement.

Ren looked to see nothing had changed, nodded with some satisfaction, and then went back to reading, but Penn's worried voice changed that. "Something's not right" Penn whispered. "If it were a small creature, I don't think it could've made such a large noise earlier, but when I shot an arrow there, you'd expect something big to dodge, or at least cause some movement."

This new insight suddenly registered with Ren. "You mean-"

The bushes rustled more, and slowly, an odd, four legged creature walked out, its color disturbingly vague and unclear.

"What is that....?" Ren stared at the creature that had just appeared. It wasn't strange that new creatures were to be discovered, but the feeling that it gave...it was like a cold embrace that sucked the energy out of somebody just by being close.

"It's not a dark or entropic creature" Penn noted, notching another arrow into his Owl Eye.

"No, nor death" Ren concluded. "Scare it off with a snipe or something"

Penn nodded. "SNIPE" A wave of energy coated his arrow and a flash of blue burst out. There was an explosion of sand a few feet away from the creature, but it didn't move at all. "...You'd think it at least would dodge." Penn finally broke the silence.

"It's still advancing" Ren said, "Just shoot the thing, we can actually get a closer look if it's stopped moving."

Penn didn't need any further convincing, and without further delay, let an arrow fly right into the center of the creature. The arrow just stuck there, and the creature continued, acting like nothing had happened. "What the-?" Penn shoot another, and then another, but all three arrows just stuck out neatly near each other, and the creature kept advancing, slowly, but menacingly.

"Ha!" "WEB" In the time that Penn was shooting the creature, Ren had made use of his flesh spider and cast a neat net of web towards it. This seemed to do the trick, as it lay on the ground, completely tangled by the web. "What is this thing?" Ren observed, "It feels so...unnatural, and it seems physical attacks don't have any effect on them".

By the time that Penn had come for a closer look, both air elementals were suddenly aware of a new sound around them, or rather, a lack of sound. The sky was already turning dark, and the sudden lack of sound was an eerie silence. Ren turning his head quickly confirmed his fears. More kinds of the creature that they had just incapacitated were appearing around them, slowly making a circle. Ren did a quick count to find that there were probably around 8. They slowly advanced with the same slow gait, but it seemed that their numbers had gotten them an advantage. The two elementals were surrounded, and they could feel the fear start to creep through them.

Penn sighed. "Old buddy? Cover my back" Ren nodded and the two immediately had their backs to each other, with 8 of the new creatures around them. "How do we dispatch these things?" Penn yelled, as he let a few more arrows fly.

"Physical attacks don't work on them! Try sniping!" Ren yelled back, slightly louder than he meant to. One of the creatures had gotten a bit too close, and Ren, ignoring his own advise, had slashed it with his sword. The sword blow clearly sliced at least one of the creature's legs off, and left a deep gash, but like an amorphous blob, it started to regenerate, but then, suddenly the place near the wound seemed to disease and disintegrate, and the creature collapsed onto the floor.

"SNIPE" Perhaps he was a bit nervous, but Penn's snipe was slightly off target. The energy charged arrow flew a bit too high, although it did leave a sizable gash on another of the creatures who stopped moving. "I see. These creatures, they seem to be weak to elemental attacks. You were right Ren!"

"I told you!" Ren turned to Penn smiling at the fact that his hypothesis was indeed correct. When he turned around however, he saw two of the creatures leaping towards him, and he knew he didn't have enough time to either dodge or retaliate. Libellum, his flesh spider, leapt at one of the creatures to distract it, but the other creature seemed like it would descend directly above him. Ren felt a cold fear grip his heart, and the moment of the creature, almost certain death lay above him, felt like forever. He could even feel his limbs get weak as he raised a feeble hand above just to try and protect himself...

There was a deafening blast, and when the ringing in his ears had disappeared and Ren cautiously opened his eyes, he could only see part of a creature fall to the side of him, a sizable chunk of its body being clearly blown away.

"Sheesh" Penn said quietly, "Warn me next time when you're going to cast shockwave when you're so close to me!" "SNIPE" And another creature went down.

"I've only read about it, but to actually try it out at this close range with my ideas...it feels sort of satisfying..." Ren mused.

Penn let out a small sigh "Well it seems now that we've figured out these creatures' weakness, we can deal with them. Cover me for a bit while I go charge up a thunderstorm".

"Gotcha". Ren nodded and picked up his sword that he dropped when the creature attacked. With one smooth movement, he drove the sword straight into the center of the creature fighting Libellum without much thinking, but he was surprised to see that the monster twitched a bit, before being completely still.

Ren didn't get much time to ponder why his sword could do this, because soon, "THUNDERSTORM!". A loud burst of lightning cracked through the sky and when Ren finally opened his eyes, he saw that all the creatures that had attacked them were lying, not moving, clearly smitten by the thunderstorm.

"What in the name of Zanz are these things?" Ren wondered, "They don't look tougher than most creatures at a glance, but for something this big, you'd think it'd be like an antlion....fighting just these eight was like fighting a pack of Sapphire Chargers. If we didn't find out about their weakness, we would've been goners"

Penn agreed. "It's like...they're not of the twelve elements. They're almost like a...null, or void elemental. A lack of elemental energy rather than a concentration of energy like you and I."

"Where's the webbed one?" Ren and Penn started towards the piece of web on the ground, but it contained nothing. Even the bodies of the null creatures that had littered the field around them were nowhere to be found.

"I want you to deliver this news as quickly as possible back to the capital" Ren told Penn. "Tell them exactly what is going on, and that we were attacked by null elemental creatures. I want a full time patrol of snipers around the city and our borders. Tell everyone that elemental attacks and spells work best, but don't bother with regular weapons. Now go! Tell the capital and Mya all about these things! We can't afford to be caught off guard!" Ren quickly penned his signature on a piece of paper and handed it to Penn. "There's my signature, so we can at least have two witnesses. It's just a shame that we couldn't find any trace of them"

"I agree", said Penn. "I'll go as quickly as I can, and I'll try to keep you informed of the situation, but...knowing there's things like these out there...please be careful Ren"

"I will. Now goodybe old friend, and hurry up with the news. Maybe they'll take your crackpot theory instead of mine" Penn laughed at the joke, but as he turned away from his friend, his demeanor quickly changed. What could this mean? For the kingdom of Air? For the entire world? Just what were these new creatures, and where did these null elementals come from?

"Gah, what's the holdup, energy surge?" Ferocio had been waiting for two long hours for the energy surge to arrive, and still, nothing. He had taken to thrashing the nearby trees with his Pulverizer, even trespassing into the Kingdom if Light's corner of the clearing to annihilate some of their strangely glowing white birch trees. "I'm so damn BORED!!" With that, he smashed aside a giant sequoia, revealing a small, four-legged creature.

[Since you allowed us control of Dimentio Revane, I'm making him counterattack Ferocio with a suprise.]

VOIDSTALKER

As he observed it, the... thing turned pitch black, darker than any hue of darkness he had known.

The creature leaped at Ferocio's face, screeching even though it appeared to have no mouth. Ferocio swung at it, only for his hand to pass through the being. The Voidstalker landed on Ferocio and split its legs into 6 prism-like appendages.

"AGGHHHH!" Ferocio screamed as black lightning poured into him. The lighting decreased rather quickly, however, and the creature soon leapt away, empty of charge.

"Impressive, isn't he?" Dimentio spoke, watching from not too far away. "Too bad the little bugger doesn't have that much energy. Can't even Fractal the thing, either."

"YOU!" Ferocio yelled at Dimentio "I don't know what kind of trick that was, but you'll pay for that!"

[And since you're in the Kingdom of Light, now back to Lyra.]

"Did you hear that, Kuraz?" Lyra gasped as a huge gust of wind seemed to roar in the distance.

"Asteriel's Light yes, I did. I thought it was just an Earthquake's aftershock, but something just emitted... a 'pulse' from that direction. It's very faint, though, like the noise, so it must be from far away. Perhaps even at the Life border."

"Involving that strange energy again... and a roar, eh. Sounds like someone's tapping into that 'Void' - whether it be for a summoning or a straight-up attack."

"Wait, a summoning? What the heck do you mean, Shaden?" Lyra shot inward.

"Well, long story short, it's very difficult to properly concentrate Void energy because it's, well, Void. Nothing. Null. Zero. It doesn't want to be shaped to have an intent, yet intends to make everything else nothing. As a result, Void generally appears like a blob when it's cast."

"...and why didn't you tell me this last year when I was doing Duality Research?"

"Because I was still experimenting with my prototype of the Pillar, dangit! Void requires practice to shape - if you screw up, you'll end up with the blob I mentioned above, and it won't be friendly even if it was listening to you two seconds ago."

"Well, any other tips? Weakpoints, like giant red markers or sensitive spots?"

"Well... under normal conditions, you can't 'touch' Void - it'll go straight through you."

"So much for the sword."

"It's not my fault you haven't mastered using any spells without Scrolls "

"Sheesh." Lyra muttered under her breath, and looked up at Kuraz again. "Kuraz, do you have any spell scrolls with you? Shaden says we're going to need elemental energy to damage that thing. Recastable, if possible."

"Ermm.... I have a Recastable Smite, but I need that or I'd have to punch everything. I do have this Recastable Glaring Light. Can you handle long recharge times and just being able to blind whatever shows up then slashing them?"

"Well, I would prefer something damage orien-"

"HEY, did something happen over there?! You guys felt it, right? That weird ENERGY PULSE." Jenkins shouted as he ran up to the two at the gate, the Pegasus trailing behind him almost shaking his head in despair.

"Jenkins, let us finish preparing before we go! We don't even know what we're investigating!" Kuraz interrupted, but his words felt on deaf ears.

"Hey naw, we're prepared, savvy! With my lucky jar of DIRT and badass Dagger, we'll kill 'em all! I'm going to slay that monster, an' then they'll know the name of the great JENKINS! Leg's go!" Jenkins leaped onto the saddle and gave an 'encouraging' push to the Pegasus as he flew off.

"...We're not following him yet, right?" Lyra and Shaden echoed in unison.

"Of course not. I learned from that Dragon nearly biting my arm off. So, you need something damage oriented?"

"Yep. Can we go to the shop and get something Recastable or just a bunch of One-use Smites? I don't want to lose an arm either."

"Sure. Who's paying?" Kuraz raised an eyebrow as Lyra panicked.

"....can I pay you back? I'm broke again. Last experiment... ah... well...erm... ended horribly. Yeah. That's it. Ended horribly."

"Haha, no problem. I can afford to lend a little electrum, but just remember to pay me back in a month."

"Phew, thanks Kuraz. I won't be one day late this time!"

"You better not be." Kuraz grumbled as he and Lyra ran towards the Magic Shop, determined to quickly get supplies and then resolve the incident.

[Just to describe them a bit more fully, I think I'll be putting up profiles of Kuraz and Jenkins later on. Overall speaking, Kuraz is a mage of some sort and Jenkins is a 'warrior'.]

[Feel free to control Jenkins, as he's not in Lyra's immediate vicinity. Just don't get him killed yet. ;) ]

Iredia sighed, the Amargio didn't seem to care what she did so long as she didn't attack it directly. So she walked alongside it in silence until a light elemental burst from a nearby bush, an extrodinarily angry looking Seraph after him.
Elemental: Gotta find a pond gotta find a pond-HEY!
He spotted Iredia and the Amargio and came running straight at the duo.
The Amargio, much to Iredia's surprise, stepped in front of her and activated his Gravity Pull, drawing the elemental and the Seraph at him a high speed. The elemental just smacked against it's torso, while the Seraph shot a bolt of fire.  The amargio struck back, only for it's attack to unbelieably miss-the Seraph apparently had his Divine Shield running.
Iredia: Pesky...I got this! BLACK HOLE!
She focused on the Seraph and drained the area around him of quanta energy. Just as she had guessed, it had gathered a good deal of light quanta around itself. While the Divine shield would still protect it for the rest of it's duration, the Seraph wouldn't be able to recharge anytime soon.
The other elemental stopped, and suddenly noticing something, he charged forward recklessly.
Iredia: DUDE! WAIT!
But much to her surprise he sucessfully stabbed it in the heart with his dagger. The Seraph screamed in pain as it's flames suddenly grew, consuming it and leaving nothing but ashes. The Light elemental cheered and pumped his fists.
Iredia: Hunh? How'd you do that?
Elemental: It's divine shield ran out. Isn't it Gravity's job to smash through defenses?
Iredia: ::) I didn't see it...I think you just got incredibly lucky there pal. Besides, you should know better than to attack a Seraph with light quanta, if I hadn't drained it when I did, you'd have a flaming crater for a face! But anyways, what's your name?
Elemental: I'm Jenkins! Soon to be famous Adventurer.
Iredia: Or dead elemental, if you normally pick fights like that.
Jenkins: And your name is?
Iredia: :o (is this guy for real!?!) I'm Iredia.
[Zblader, plz go over this and clean up jenkins speech with his accent, I don't know the rules of it.)

[If anyone wants to cross timelines, just shoot me a PM.]

He was all alone in the wasteland, the sandstorm whipping the flaps of his hood around.  It was a pain to walk the distance from the city, but there was no other place to escape the monotony of the desert.

Kairos dabbed at the sweat gathering on his brow with the inside of his hood.  Just as he began to question whether or not he was heading in the right direction, he thought he saw a faint silhouette just beyond the kicked up sand.  Seems he was correct and his pace quickened as the building came into view.

As Kairos approached the safehouse, he could not help but feel something was off.  Coming to the door, he could see why.  It was empty.  He was only out for a few hours.  Where could have everyone gone?  Another raid?  He carefully crossed the threshold, looking for any signs of why it was abandoned.

Apparently it wasn't as abandoned as he thought, as a hooded figure was rummaging through some stuff in a corner.  It wasn't his stuff, so it didn't really bother him.  but he would like some information...

"Hey, do you know-"

Before he could finish, the cloaked figure put up his arms as if to defend himself as he skittered away from Kairos to the wall.  "Augh, don't hurt me!"

Reverse Time

Kairos did not have any time to react.  There was just a yellow flash and then he was back outside in the sandstorm.

What was going on?

Grenexus had.been bored, so he had decided to travel (again.) He had crossed through most of the life kingdom. Now, finally, he was at a crossroads, and not the just any crossroads the crossroads, the famed hexes of life. He saw that a life elemental was battling with a darkness... or maybe light elemental, he didn't care. Battle, of course, was a great source of chaos, however, the elementals did not seem like pushovers. Regardless of the danger, however, Grenexus couldn't resist, and combined his more than fully charged pandemonium spells, before shooting them at the combatants. A massive miasma of pink and purple erupted from his hands, traveling rapidly towards the combatants. Right before it hit, however, it dissapated into the ground.most non-entropy magicians would have thought the spell failed, but Grenexus was an entropy magician and he knew that it had suceeded. Soon afterwards, he heard the sweet, sweet sound of two lobotomizations. Ahhh, it was good being self-servingly chaotic nuetral. (Yes, he's very genre savvy, altough this will latter be overshadowed by the fact that he's batsh/t insane ;) )

[Well, lots of people signed up, lots of possibilities here. This RP is going to be all over the place. Some rules broken, just serves to show I can't control everyone. No harm done, though.]

Working with Cameron was one of the worst, yet exhilarating and strangely fun experiences.

Permission to use the Catapult was restricted until further testing. Cameron's partner reluctantly left on a separate path. But of course Cameron still wanted to fulfill his now terminated mission.

That night, Cameron, Velethan, and Galnath entered the tame Massive Dragon cave. Upon sight of the creature, Velethan gasped in awe. He could build an entire city on the back of one, and still have room left over. "These guys love working with humans, but only if we pay them in copius amounts of food. They need to eat a lot, heh." Cameron said.

After some negotiation, the dragon agreed to help. "Akebono, at your service." the dragon exclaimed. To the miniature Elementals, it was an uncomfortable roar.

"Alright, you two pick up your Wyrm and get ready to fly. Fast. I'm gonna, uh, steal a catapult." Cameron smiled mischievously.

So Velethan and Galnath ascended into the sky, aboard the Wyrm, wishing the Gravity Elements the best of luck as they left to "seek other methods of entering Etheria."

They hovered above the beginning of the Earthen Mountains, awaiting their companion. Sure enough, a few minutes later, they heard a large crashing sound - the collapsing of the testing building, along with alarms. There was no trouble spotting the gigantic dragon evacuating the scene, Catapult on its back, Cameron laughing gleefully, with Saph along for the ride.

"That one is going to be the death of us." Galnath stated, only half-jokingly, shaking his head in contempt.

"Well, once we enter Etheria, we're safe, right?" Velethan replied.

"Safe from the outside. Whatever's actually inside the Land of Aether..." Galnath trailed off as the Massive Dragon approached.

"Let us fly! To the mountains!" Cameron shouted as Akebono let out a roar.

The motley group of soldiers and criminals headed for their destination, leaving the Gravity Basin behind in a chaotic state.

They were silent for the entire flight, focused on the mission at hand, perhaps nervous about the reactions of the Gravity Elementals or what the future held for them. Two of the fastest creatures in the world - Wyrm and dragon - made the trip over the entire mountain range last just a few hours. Velethan even managed to get some sleep; Galnath on the other hand, who was new to air travel, was alert the entire time, scared to tumble off and fall to his death.

"The edge of the mountains are approaching. And look, Etheria!" Cameron pointed ahead of them.

The small dot grew into an amorphous blob of some unknown material floating above the ocean, like a Sanctuary above the Land of Light. Velethan had seen it from afar but never this close. Even from the edge of the mountains, it was a notable distance away, and he had second thoughts about the Catapult's reach.

The group landed on the flat part of a mountain peak. Velethan unpacked some food for the Elementals and his Wyrm, while Akebono wandered off to find some larger specimens for consumption. Cameron accompanied Akebono in case he scared any Elementals.

"Hey, boss. We found someone entering the border of the Earthen Mountains from the Land of Air. He claims to have fought off some strange otherwordly creatures. He might know some things we don't." Cameron said as he returned.

"Hmm?" Velethan turned to observe a fellow Air Elemental dismount Akebono. "Well, explain yourself." he told the newcomer.

Ren looked at the new elementals and quickly introduced himself. "My name is Renato Feng, but you can call me Ren. I'm a scholar from the land of air. Perhaps you've heard of me?" Seeing the confusion on Velethan's face, he quickly added "No big deal. I'm just some writer with crazy theories, but you have to believe me about these creatures I just fought off"

"Creatures?" Velethan leaned closer as if he could get more information. "What kind of creatures?"

"I fought them off with a friend" Ren continued, "They didn't feel like any of the twelve elemental creatures at all. It's almost as if they were...from another element, or rather, lack of one. A null element"

Velethan seemed a bit suspicious, but he had no reason to suspect that a fellow air elemental, especially a scholar, would lie about such a thing. "I see you have an Owl Eye...no, that's an Eagle Eye" Ren observed. "You're one of those elite soldiers!"

"Ah, yeah, er, I am. I am Velethan" Velethan replied, a bit proud to have been recognized.

"These null creatures seem to weak to elemental energy and resistant to physical damage" Ren explained. "Regular shots from your bow won't work, but a carefully charged snipe can rip them apart. Same with spells like shockwave or thunderstorm"

Cameron broke in at this point "Null elemental? But all things are made of the twelve elements! There's nothing that's not!"

"It is true, I'm telling you" Ren said. "You may not believe me, but I just barely escaped with my life from a few of them. Is-Is it alright if I travel with you guys? I think we'd be safer in a group. And I promise my flesh spider doesn't bite. What are you elementals up to anyway?"

[I think we should label where each section takes place, and with whose group, so it can be easily distinguished]
