It's back, everybody! Your favorite roleplaying game, Special Powers, is now open for business again. The first two were run by ZBlader, but he's been AFK for some time now and can't run this. So I'm taking up the mantle.

Sign up when you can, and we'll start in a few. TL:DR rules:
    One power, not OP thx.3 items.Three actions a turn.Official alliances can have three people in them.No instakills. The other guy has to post before dying.Once dead, you must use three actions (one post) to revive yourself.Speak out of actions using the horizontal line code, shown below.

[hr]Welcome to Special Powers! This is a pseudo-game like battle where you can join in randomly start fighting! Read the rules first, though.

-The battle will go on with each post as a turn. Players are free to ally up with and perform up to 3 actions in one post (eg : 1. Ally with Nepycros 2. Attack Flayne w/pie 3. Jump on a train), but if attacking another player the other player has to have a chance to defend (No instakills)
-You can only have 1 power at a time. Choose wisely. You may also start with 1 item. You can have 3 items max.
-If you feel you're falling behind, don't hesitate to ask for a summary. Me and the other players will gladly fill you in.
-If a player dies, they can't post for 3 turns/posts.
-Whoever manages to kill all opposing players wins.
-Alliances can only have 3 players max.
-- NOTE: You can make unofficial alliances without using an alliance point, but this means that if you use AoE attacks like Nova you have a chance of hurting your "allies".
-Players can join midgame but must follow the above rules.
-You are allowed to talk midgame and make comments like *facepalm* as long as you seperate the actions and the comments with:

You can't godmod - this means no altering things on such a grand scale like blowing up the world or travelling back in time to cause an epic paradox that can't be negated. Think of this as a "RPG" of sorts where everyone's eternally battling against each other - it's best to start somewhere decent and gain powers over time.

Breaking Rules results in RNG penalties whenever I trigger an event.

From time to time I will create events or drop items that may cause some kind of effect or can be used by the players. Use your imagination when this happens!

Hm, I thought reviving was "wait for three other people to post their actions" rather than a simple "cost yourself an entire turn", but hey, I'd like to see how this changes the game.

For images : I'd recommend using the Gaia Avatar Creator (http://www.tektek.org/dream/) or Anime Character Maker by Xdanod (http://www.kongregate.com/games/xdanond/anime-character-maker-2) if you want to whip up a quick profile of your character in the game. I personally liked some of the resulting images that were submitted last Special Powers. :)

I'm in.

Power: MildlyFrightenedBoy's soul is able to split from his body.  Both he and his soul may be moved separately, but both must be moved with separate turns.  He is able to instantly move either his body or his soul to the other and rejoin immediately, and if either one dies while split, they will be forced to rejoin.
MFB's body, being solid, is not able to use ghostly objects, nor is his soul able to use solid ones.  When split, MFB's soul and body have separate inventories, but the items cannot be switched between the two inventories without his body and soul encountering each other.  The item cap of 3 applies to the total of the two inventories.  When MFB's soul and body are joined, he may hold both ghostly and solid items.

Item: Spirit Blade
A small knife that seems to be partially trapped in the ethereal realm.  While a mortal cannot effectively wield it, one sure is capable of being stabbed by it.  It isn't sharp enough to kill someone, but they might be limping for a while.  It probably would be a useful tool apart from murder as well.



Actions:
1. Split.
2. I send my body to scout to the North.
3. I send my soul to scout to the South.
This thing seemed dead inside. It seemed like an automaton, trying to act like as if it was alive. The effect was unsettling.
Orianna made a sound that supposed to a girl's squeal of glee and hugged The Ball. While it might have been touching, it was unfortunately only horrifying.

Power: Mind control.

Mind control allows me to take control of any player and perform any actions that they can. However, each action I force someone to perform counts as an action for me. As this effectively counts as one of their turns, I cannot take control of the person who posted before me, and the person who I take control of cannot post directly after me. A portion of the person's willpower remains, such that I cannot make them harm themselves.

Item: Cloak

The Cloak allows its owner to hide from the world. While under the Cloak, a player cannot be targeted by any action. However, if they are hit by mass CC, they are uncloaked. Cloaking takes 3 action points, but Uncloaking only takes 1. A player cannot perform any actions besides Uncloak while Cloaked.


Now, I shall hide until some more players join (and I can get the hang of the game by watching people).

1-3. Cloak.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.

Power: Forest Body

Old trees count as inanimate organic bodies of myself. Death of any animate old tree counts as a death. Not having an animate old tree counts as a death.


Item: Rune of Animation

Maintain animation of two inanimate organic objects. Actions are limited to 3 total between the two objects. Typically used to animate an Old Tree body and either one more old tree or an Organic Golem. Initiating and ending animation both take a separate action. Talking is laborious and also requires an action. The Rune is located at any animate old tree.

Actions:
0) Original body was animated
1) Construct a Golem
2) Animate a Golem
3) Have the Golem wander off in random directions

Self-induced amnesia to check my power.
My memories have a seal on them, keeping me from remembering the true extent of my powers.
Seals only unlock if I satisfy special conditions that would cause me to remember.
Seals unlock temporarily if I'm in severe danger, but my memory will reseal itself after.

I start out as a normal girl with no powers.



I wake up in the middle of a forest, then blink for a moment while my brain tries to draw some kind of connection to my current situation.
As my mind scrambles I realize that I can hardly remember anything. I have no idea why I've woken up all alone in this forest, or anything else that may have happened before this moment draws a complete blank.
The only thing I remember is my name.

That's right... I'm... Evaria.

I sit up. I realize that I'm just a little girl completely alone in the middle of nowhere, with no memory of anything except my name, and with nothing except the clothes I'm wearing.

And yet... somehow I'm not afraid. Or even worried. It's a weird feeling. I feel like most other children my age would be bursting into tears in this kind of situation, but I feel totally at ease.

Hmm.

I stand up. There's no point just sitting here.

I pick a direction at random, and begin to walk.

None of this was strange to me, but all of it was new, as I had been born not ten minutes ago. "Then you are very powerful, sir," I said, to either the sky, the ground, or myself - I wasn't quite so sure which - "to be able to grow me so easily."
"That was easy, the hard part was implanting in you all the basic knowledge that you did not have."
"Well, thank you then, sir, for what ever troubles you had on my account." Best to be polite to some one who can grow me as easily as the sun can grow sprouts...
"It is 'best' to be polite in general, girl, but I will excuse this mild stupidity, as you were, after all, born today."
I nodded, trying to look as polite as possible.
"Stop fidgeting and look at me; I want you to save me, for I am this castle that you see. I live in its walls, in its roof and through its halls. But also, this castle is me, and it is sick. The castle is now ruled by a fool, and he is neglecting the care of his people, the lands, and me. I need you to deal with him."
My wide red eyes glittered in curiosity. "How?"
"...Oh dear, veiled threats and sarcasm are going to be pretty hard for you, huh? Well, never mind that, I want you to kill the king. I have given you special powers with which to do so, and those silver anklets on your legs. Your reward for doing this is I'll let you keep your powers."
A gust of energy turned me in the direction of a back door to the massive castle.
"Now, go give them hell."

1: Talk with the castle's voice.
2: Find back door.
3: Enter castle.

Power: Drawing. So I can just draw stuff, right, and it'll come true and actually do it. That means on the dirt or in the air or whatever, so don't muck about with that.

Item: Sonic Pocketknife. It just sort of sonics things, and stuff happens. Not so great at liquids, tho. Particularly goop.

1: Bump into Get run over by a tree spawning in.
2: Draw tree thing catching on fire.

3: Laugh in sweet revenge as tree panics.

I mean, these things are semi-sentient, right OT?

In an attempt to prevent a blasted fool from copying the powers of his phone, Ankh accidentaly created the Mask of Gemini that creates a spirit adviser within him, Ariel. Completely confirming his new identity in the worlds he has travelled through, he expects to meet a certain noodly friend soon.

Ankh has evolved from the trials he's faced in the Colosseums of Mormegils, Special Powers, The Airheart Rebellion, and the recent battles in the world of MARjofens Awakens Romance. Though starting fresh as bound by reality's rules, he's completely aware of Evaria's abilities and will recognize certain others if they have played a role before in the forumverse....

Name : Ankh (Male, left), Ariel (Female, Right)
Power: Gemini Mask - Causes the creation of Ariel, and allows Ankh with the use of the "Alternate Reality" command to perform a temporary rewrite of reality that switches his "Existence" with Ariel - he becomes the spirit adviser and Ariel the physical combatant. The Mask is forcefully bound to him (and Ariel) as a proof of this ability.
Item : Reality Phone - The same phone from Special Powers 2 - Ankh/Ariel writes/texts commands to make objects appear and events happen. Both generally prefer to manifest a sword with this power. (Shown in their profile images.)

0. Default form - Ankh spawns in a random forest.
1. Walk further into forest. See tree run by on fire.
2. Text - "Water" - Tree gets wet, thanks me, and and starts telling me about some "noodly fiend who creates fire out of thin air."
3. See artimies7 laughing. Gotcha.. Text - AntiMana Sniper. (Sniper Rifle that negates magical powers.) AntiMana Sniper created, ammo empty (0/5 Ammo, 0/2 actions to load.).

Xenocidius watches from underneath his Cloak. He laughs as he watches the scene unfold before him: a tree-like golem appearing, only to be set on fire by a strange noodle-like being. He is just beginning to enjoy the show, when a geek in yellow ribbons appears and helps the golem by extinguishing it.

Desiring more entertainment, Xenocidius decides to try out his abilities in this world for the first time. He pulls off his Cloak and ensnares the yellow geek in his tangled web of thoughts. "Yes ..." he says, as the yellow geek attempts to overpower him. "Now, my dear puppet, let us see what you can do."


3. Text - "Fire" - the same tree catches fire.


"Oops," he laughs. "Sorry about that." He is weary, and he loses his mental hold on the yellow geek. Panting, he braces himself as the yellow geek recovers, waiting to see what will happen next.
Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened.
