Hope shield calculation https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=4597.msg45421#msg45421

It seems that the shield counting effect of Hope lasts for an additional round after the creatures die.

Eg.

5 Fireflies => Hope blocks for 5
5 Fireflies die to Firestorm => Hope still blocks for 5
Next turn => Hope protection drops to 0

I'm not sure whether this is a bug, or if it was intended to work this way though.

This is possibly not intentional behavior, but the reason it works this way is because the damage reduction is calculated only when Hope takes its action. So when creatures are killed, damage reduction from Hope is not re-calculated until the defending player finishes his/her next turn and Hope takes its action.

Actually, he would still only being doing 8 damage/turn, so he could have lost :).

Upped Hope blocks for N+1 now, silly puppy.
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.
